PHOTO: NYPD Release Name & Photo Of Suspect In Marine Park Hate Crime


It happened one year ago, but the NYPD has been working on the case since and have now released a good photo and name of the man they want in connection to a Hate Crime in Marine Mark.

As YWN reported in April of 2016, the NYPD told YWN that the man drew swastikas on two garbage can covers, a residential gate, and the front door of a residential building.

They say it happened on Monday April 26, 2016 around 4:30 a.m. on Avenue S in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn – a a predominantly Jewish neighborhood.

The male used a white marker to draw a swastika at the following locations:

1. A garbage can cover located in the vicinity of Avenue S and Ryder Street.
2. A residential gate located in the vicinity of Avenue S and Ryder Street.
3. A traffic control box located at Avenue S and East 38 Street.
4. A garbage can cover located in the vicinity of Avenue S and East 37 Street.
5. The front door to a residential building located in the vicinity of East 35 Street and Avenue S.

The man the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force are looking for is Patrick McCormick, a 44-year-old male.
