Report: IDF Soldiers Operated in Lebanon

idfAccording to a report released from the Hizbullah affiliated al-Manar agency, IDF soldiers operated 100 meters inside southern Lebanon and arrested five shepherds, three women and two men, releasing the women. This reportedly occurred near Sheba Farm.

Lebanese media sources on Thursday, 17 Nissan 5774 reported the soldiers crossed into Lebanon on Thursday and made the arrests. The women were released immediately and the others taken for interrogation in Israel, Walla News reports quoting the Lebanese sources.

Walla adds that senior officials in the IDF Northern Command have warned regarding thick heavy brush along the border which is hampering efforts by IDF trackers along the border. They explain the growth is making it too difficult for trackers to determine if anyone is approaching the border. One of the critical areas of concern is the 91st Division under the command of Brigadier-General Moni Katz.

About three weeks ago two people were killed by IDF fire near the Israel-Syrian border near Kunetra. An IDF observation post identified three persons operating in a suspicious fashion along the border on the Syrian side. When it became clear the three were terrorists working along the fence the order was given to stop the terrorist activity.
