Family Members Miss Har HaZeisim Levaya Due to Rock Attack

hhaTova Richler, 59, a resident of New York, never imagined that she would miss the levaya of her father. On erev Shabbos 18 Nissan 5774 she was driving towards Har HaZeisim with a number of relatives in the vehicle to attend the levaya.

Some ten masked Arabs waited on the side and began pelting the vehicle with rocks and cement blocks. Tova was in shock as the vehicle was bombarded, prevented from continuing to drive. B’chasdei Hashem the occupants were extricated from the perilous situation but the levaya was compelled to get underway without them as Shabbos approached.

According to the Yisrael Hayom report also in the vehicle was a sister of Tova, a brother-in-law and niece.

“I traveled thousands of miles to attend my father’s levaya” she is quoted saying, adding “I never imagined the levaya would be like this. I heard explosions and banging. I was in shock. From time-to-time I would hear of people being attack on their way to Har HaZeisim but never imagined something like this”.

Members of the My Israel movement are planning to launch a new campaign this week hoping to pressure Israel Police and Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich to act to restore law and order from visitors to the Har HaZeisim and other areas of the capital amid a recent increase in Arab attacks against Jews.

  1. Good morning “my israel movement” people are sooo slow they can’t see the obvious. This your israel is just in your imaginations. I’m saying this cause looking back at history, to these ruling secular Israeli elite since its inception was not interested in any religious site. They don’t care about giving back kever yosef or chevron nor do they really care about the kotel. As a matter of fact the only reaSon they didn’t give back yerushalayim is due to some members threatening to quit. But pm after pm was ready to give back even y-m in later leaked secret peace talks.

Now har hazetim is your problem. Sorry but the dead mean even less to them. Theyre ashamed of their ancestors. Proof, this vandalism stoning etc.. has been an ongoing issue for decades already. They care not a drop about these “parasite, leeches, haredim” who are buried there or go there to pray there etc.

Disclaimer: I am not referring to the dati or haredi mk or population. But rather to the pork stuffing yehudi balev hidden jewish knesset members, ministers and prime exampleminister.

  2. Is this also a “not till 7 dead” program?!
    Just the security already!!

(regarding the traffic lights at busy highway and yishuv junctions, the state said it would only put a crosswalk-traffic light when there are a select number of fatalities at that site)

  3. And what happened to the 200 security cameras that were supposed to be installed there? It’s a shame that out of all cemeteries, it is the Har Hazeisim, in the heart of Eretz Yisroel, and in the heart of Klal Yisroel; which is one of the most dangerous cemeteries in the world to visit. What’s the big deal to have “normal” security there all day round? Never understood it. Treat it as an airport; treat it as a holy place; is that too much to ask.
