MAILBAG: YWN Readers Are ‘Most Self Hated Jews In Today’s Time’

ywnlnThe following is a non-edited letter, published in its entirety, as received by YWN:

Hi Gentlemen, just want to let you know that you guys @ YWN are the most self hated jews in todays time… By supporting bloodshed in Palestine (by giving Chizuk to the army to fight enemies which will never end till Mushiach arrives)and young innocent boys being killed for no good reason just for ego) to criticizing Hon. President Obama Y”H and Senator Kerry by trying to help the situations and solve the crisis (which can only work by showing both sides sympathy), every comment in this site is being read by non-jews as jews also government officials know what to read and will pick the only the red lines which includes criticism against our officials and government and particularly against our President Obama y”h, you guys bring the most antisemitism to our own brothers in the world and especially in the Tri-State area, we are now in exile and have no right to criticize any officials, and by doing this you create on us even more enemies at home. We should thank Has hem that they are letting us practice Torah & Mitzvos w/o problems. Yiden! open your eyes and look what to Torah writes what our father Yakov said to his children “Lumo Tisruei” -Why are you showing yourself as like any other nation? Hide yourself and don’t fight or criticize them, this will only make it worse for Klal Yisroel and until freed be quiet and except the Gulos” There’s a lot more to say but this is just the tip of the fork and it’s not what i say but what the Torah says.

  1. RE: “By supporting bloodshed in Palestine”

Even one does not recognize State of “Israel” calling Eretz Ysroel “Palestine” shows how phony you are and were you are coming from.

As i stated many times on this forum that with attitudes like yours we usually end-up in gas-chambers.

  2. YOU’R A FOOL YOU ARE VERY IGNORANT IN THE MIDDLE EASTERN CONFLICT THE JEWISH LAW STATES THAT SOMEONE THAT COMES TO KILL YOU IT IS A MITZVAH TO KILL HIM FIRST. AND REGARDING THE BLOOD SHED IN GAZA, NOT ONE ISRAELI WANTS INNOCENT CIVILIANS TO GET KILLED. BUT THE PROBLEM IS AS YOU WELL KNOW THAT HAMAS IS HIDING BEHIND THERE CIVILIANS. THEY ARE EVEN TAKING THERE OWN SIX MONTH OLD BABIES IN ONE HAND AND A GUN IN THE OTHER HAND THEY HAMAS, ARE THE CAUSE OF CIVILIANS GETTING KILLED. AND REGARDING OBAMA HE DOESN’T SEEM TO BE SUPPORTING ISRAEL THAT MUCH HE REQUESTED AN IMMEDIATE CEASE FIRE WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION TO ISRAEL SECURITY OR THE MASSIVE TUNNELS THAT THEY WHERE BUILDING TO KILL MANY JEWS.

  3. I hope you didn’t post this to eventually insult the author by the comments that will inevitably come.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and the author of this article sounds sincere. (Although I don’t agree with him – besides the part where he says there will never be complete peace until Mashiach comes.)
I want to remind everyone that achdus doesn’t necessarily mean we all think alike (an impossibility anyway). It means that we care for and love each other regardless of differing opinions.

Moderators Response:Everyone is entitled to their own opinion“…..and that is exactly why it was published.

  4. You’re ignorant and clueless. These people should be made aware such as obama as how much he is detested by the jews which might change his view in the fututre. Don’t send things in before u understand what your talkimg about.

  5. Yes sir, we should all just sit quietly on the side and not make our voices heard, not stand up and show support for our fellow Jews, certainly not oppose a tyrant in the government that thinks he can do anything he wants without opposition. It is this very attitude that the German Jews had before the war! They did all of those things and look where it lead them. Are you so unaware of history that you actually believe the content of your letter?

  6. I am surprised at the moderator for letting this one through. From the second line of this letter, from the word Palestine, it is clear that the writer is a member or sympathizes with Niturei Karta, those self-hating Jews who stand on the street in chassidic regalia demonstrating against Israel, holding PLO flags, etc.

Kol Haposel B’Mumo Posel. He is of the most visible self-hating Jews and calls us self-hating Jews.

At the same time, there is a bit much off-the-cuff remarks in the comments section. It reads like the comments section in every other news site, with comments that sound like letting off steam without enough thought put into what is written. We do need to be a little more circumspect in how we publicly relate to public officials. If we do feel the need to criticize, who am I to say we should not. But perhaps with a little more calm, cool and collected.

  7. Oh Please

“This site” isn’t any different than comments posted on Arutz Sheva, Foxnews, or Haaretz

people are entitled to freedom of speech and can say whatever they want and if the government has a problem then they’ll just go after you via the IRS and/or bridge closures (jk)

  8. The writers mind is so warped!!!!!!!!! If he’d have rockets flying in from nj over his head would he just sit idly by. You sit in Monroe in ur big homes and quiet streets And ur here to tell pple how to react when they have life and death in front of their eyes. The sad part about ur mentality is that ur rebbe meant what he believed so much. While most disagreed and still do. They still were able to see his love for eretz hakodesh and the Galus it’s in. But look what evolved? A man that has more cAre about impressing the eyes of the world than his own brothers and sisters. Doesnt even know that kid dish hashems refers mostly between yidden themselves? You make sure to visit Meron every lag beomer and don’t even have the slightest will of connecting to those in eretz hakodesh that don’t drive suburbans and live on acres of land in upstate ny. But live in sealed rooms these days. You sound like the Erev Rav.

  9. YOU ARE THE MOSY PATHETIC HUMAN BEING.
HOW ABOUT YOU LIVE IN A BUNKER
    YOU ANIMAL!!
    LET HAMAS BOMB YOUR HOUSE..
    ENOUGH WITH THIS LEFTIST GARBAGD

  10. This writer is just another NK member.

I seriously question whether you are truly a Yid. No descendant of our Avos takes a position like yours. I hope your views and identity are public enough to insure that your children marry only among your own ilk, and do not defile the rest of Klal Yisroel with your hatred toward Jews.

  11. Please don’t post letters from Neturi Karta sympathizers!
The writer cloaks himself in frumkeit while ignoring the obvious. No one asked for this war. Is Israel supposed to just silently absorb thousands of missles? Are they supposed to accept a peace plan (from an obviously biased Secretary of State and President)that leaves a terror infrastructure in place? People such as that writer believe all would be well if they lived under Hamas rule. Does he really think that Hamas would treat him any better than nebach the 3 teenage kedoshim?

  12. I feel bad for you. I also don’t like the State, but that doesn’t give you the right to stand by and watch Jews being attacked. That goes about our Gov. also. We have to protest Anti-Jewish attitudes, which includes Israel! What does Yiddiskeit mean to you?

  13. While Isaac F. Markowitz sits in America with no sirens sounding for incoming rockets, or fears of terrorists emerging from tunnels 100 meters from his home, it’s easy to criticise Israel. This is clearly a war of defense to save Jewish lives.

  14. “By supporting bloodshed in Palestine (by giving Chizuk to the army to fight enemies which will never end till Mushiach arrives)”

I beg to differ. While we may still have enemies, my parents and grandparents told me of a better time, for many years – after the ’67 war – when the majority of Arabs in Israel would fear and respect every Jew. As much as they hated us in the privacy of their homes, we were untouchables. They told me that Arabs would step off the sidewalk when a Jew would walk in his or her direction; they respected and bowed to Jews when speaking to them, never daring to look a Jew in the eye; they never were so bold as to come into Jewish neighborhoods or blast their music out loud. This era of superiority came when we made it very clear to them that it was our country and that we were there to stay. We could have this again if we beat them back down from their current haughty and proud posture.

I’ve heard it from many elders whose families lived among Arabs for centuries – the only authority that an Arab understands is that of the stick. That’s why Saddam and the Ayatollas have been so successful at domesticating their herds.

The problem isn’t that “Palestinians” and any of our enemies are stronger than Klal Israel, it’s that Israel doesn’t appreciate its intended place in the universe, and doesn’t take a tough enough stand to put our enemies back where they belong.

  15. These are the types of individuals who in a concentration camp on the way to the gas chambers (G-D forbid) would be telling others to hush down and not plan a rebellion and escape because after all it might “get us into trouble”.

  16. Geula: The letter written is beyond description, beyond any reality…. BUT your comment about living in Monroe is almost just as bad! He apparently is part of Neturei Karta, NOT MONROE. How many people do you think are in that group? Its just a handful not more!! Don’t give them the attention they look for ..

  17. The chillul Hashem that your Neture Karte group causes throughout the years with their public anti Israel approach bichlall ubifrat is much worse than all your remarks and claims you mention in your letter.

Chazal (Yoma 86a) teach us that chillul Hashem, the lav of desecrating Hashem’s name (Vayikra 22:33), occupies the most stringent level and is punishable by the most severe punishment.

Hope this comment will be read by all your Neture Karte self-hating Jewish friends and they’ll do tshuva.

  18. You know, I was listening to a shiur, on learntorah.com, called ‘dishonest reporting’ Basically, we understand that everything comes from HaKadosh Baruch Hu. So why is Hashem allowing all the propaganda and Anti-Israel bashing that is beyond logic. Maybe, it is because, Middah Kenged Middah, that we are causing false reports on other yidden, through Lashon Hara? It was a shuir that we all must listen to. How will be get the media to portray, Israel in a honest light. Let us start giving positive reports about each other and not be divided. When we are united, we have Hashem’s help. Just a few weeks ago, ALL of klal Yisrael, united for tefilla. and we have seen massive yeshuot, but then once it became business as usual, and we went back to our ways, we started to see casualites. Especially, when there were jews who were protesting, Israel. This letter is a an example of the division in Klal Yisral, If the author choose to unite and fight with his people, Bnei Yisrael, would be zocheh to even greater miracles. Now is not the time to divide, now is the time to unite. Our very survival is at stake!!

  19. We live in a country where a person has the liberty to say whatever they wish, regardless of the facts or truth. I see you have excercised that right.

  20. Isn’t it Loshon Hora to call out and speak ill of YWN commenters, especially if you think we are all Jews?

  21. The best response to these chevra, is no response. Silence is golden. They don’t listen to anyone including the(ir?)Rebbe, HRHGHZ”HK reb Yoel. Daven for them in refoanu

  22. I’m not going to take a side, I’m just asking Issac to explain what he wrote “it’s not what i say but what the Torah says.”
    Who told you?
    Do you have a Rav?

  23. Mr. Markowitz;
You are right. There will be no peace until Moshiach comes (may it be soon). You are right. We are incredibly lucky and grateful to Hashem that we are not in danger for being religious Jews and we must never forget just how lucky we are. Having said that, I must take issue with some of your comments.
First off, you call us “self-hating Jews” (you wrote self hated, but self-hating is in fact the correct term) for giving Chizuk to the army to fight enemies. We don’t always agree with each other, we can have differences of opinions, different minhagim, different manners of dress, and different religious tracks. Nevertheless, a Yid is a Yid! I don’t necessarily agree with everything the State of Israel and the IDF does, but when it comes down to it they are our boys and they have my full support simply because they are Jewish boys in danger. Loving your fellow as you love yourself means loving and caring for every Jew, especially now when we need so many extra Zchusim. Those boys are risking their lives for all of the citizens in Eretz Yisroel no matter their style of dress, financial situation or religious leanings.
It is time to put our political and religious differences aside because there are thousands of our brothers and sisters who are counting on our Achdus and our Tefillos as they fight an enemy that would love nothing more than to see every single one of us dead.

Which brings me to my second point; our enemies make no distinction between Chassid and Litvak, Ashkenazi and Sefardi. To them a Jew is a Jew (rightfully so) and when they want us dead they want us all dead. If anyone thinks that showing them support puts you on their good side, think again. Which is why I am so confused as to why you are seemingly supporting them. They do not want peace as is evidenced by all the cease fires they have broken. They want us dead. Why support someone who wants to kill you?

If I have somehow misread or misunderstood your letter, I apologize. It is not my intent to insult. May we soon see an end to this horrific war and may all of our soldiers return home safely.

  24. I see that some people are confusing Satmar ideology with Neturei Karta. SATMAR- does not support STATE of Israel, the Israeli govt. 100% supports every single Yid and davens for their safe return. NETUREI KARTA- I confess, I don’t know much about but it seems to me that they not only don’t support the State, but they don’t support their brothers and sisters living there.
    Note the difference.

  25. If you look at the arab anti-Israel cartoons, notice that they don’t use a picture of a bald Tel Aviv guy with an ear ring as the Israeli. Or a guy with a sabra hat and shorts and shovel. Or a guy with big kipa sruga and m16 on his back.

No, the Israeli is someone with a long black coat and beard/payos and a black hat with a round brim.

  26. Just to correct the guy who said it; REB YOEL זללה״ה IS NOT THEIR REBBE. Satmar and NK are two very different groups. Hasidish and Litvish for a start. NK are Talmidim of the Vilna Gaon from the old yishuv in EY. Their leader (Litvaks don’t have Rebbes FYI) was R’ Amram Bloy זי״ע. The modern break off sect we are all familiar with (there are non-meshuge NKniks who condemn those who go to Iran) are not following their original leader, R’ Bloy.

  27. While the scurrilous attacks on President Obama are disgraceful, they are so common among ignorant non-Jews that nobody is going to blame ignorant Jews for them.

  28. Let me just express my humble opinion.
Dr Natan Barkan who headed the team that developed the Iron Dome missils told in an interview recently about the Iron Dome protecting us :THE ONE WHO TRULY TRULY DID THIS IS HAKODOSH BARUCH HU.
Don`t you think that just witnessing H`s hand in Eretz Yisroel just seeing 80% of the Gedoileh Yisroel living an spreading Toiroh to the biggest ever existed Yeshivess in Eretz Yisroel, was worth having Eretz Yisroel?Don^t you feel the Kedusheh when learning there?Yes i agree it is a far cry from what it should be, but don’t you see the thousands of Baal Teshuvoss?Don`t you realize all the changes taking place and who knows if this war and the kidnapping did not come to us so that we should become better and realize EIN OID MILVADO?For this alone for bringing us to send so many tefilloss to H these soldiers merit OILOM HABO.In my enthousiasm i have sendt many informations to the Yeshivahworld and was rebuked from them (merited) but all the Nissim reported by our soldiers have put me on awe.YES H. is with us be part of it!

  29. While I don’t agree with the author of the letter, I have encountered people who fled Europe just prior and during WWII who were very afraid of similar things occurring in their new-found home, r”l.

They wanted desperately to blend into the crowd so as not to be conspicuous targets. Tragically, some went so far as to abandon much of their Jewish practices, at least in public.

My point is that it may not necessarily be the writings of a person in sympathy with the anti-Israel cabal, though that might be the case. It could actually be by a person wearing the scars of other tragedies that have befallen us.

  30. Mamin:
I beg to differ. I stand by eveRy word I said. The percentage u refer to is a small amount and would be referred to as the Yotsei min haklal.
