Statement From UN Secretary-General on the Situation in Gaza

bkmThe Secretary-General condemns in the strongest terms the reported violation by Hamas of the mutually agreed humanitarian ceasefire which commenced this morning. He is shocked and profoundly disappointed by these developments.

The Secretary-General notes that the UN has no independent means to verify exactly what happened.  According to the latest reports, two IDF soldiers were killed and one taken captive after the humanitarian ceasefire came into effect. This would constitute a grave violation of the ceasefire, and one that is likely to have very serious consequences for the people of Gaza, Israel and beyond. Such moves call into question the credibility of Hamas’ assurances to the United Nations. The Secretary-General demands the immediate and unconditional release of the captured soldier.

The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the resumption of Israeli attacks on Gaza and the killing of over 70 Palestinians this morning. Instead of giving both sides, especially Gazan civilians, a much needed reprieve to let them attend to their injured, bury their dead and repair vital infrastructure, this breach of the ceasefire is now leading to a renewed escalation.

The Secretary-General urges both sides to show maximum restraint and return to the agreed 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire that tragically lasted such a brief period of time.  He also urges those with influence over the parties to do everything to convince them to observe the humanitarian ceasefire.

  4. He is neither shocked nor disappointed. This anti Semite leading the most biased organization should not be given any coverage, or pedestal to spew his meaningless garbage.

He’s in bed with the Arab world and is but a mere puppet.

  5. Quote: “The Secretary-General notes that the UN has no independent means to verify exactly what happened”

Wow! That never seems to be an issue when you choose to condemn Israel every time something happens in Gaza. Suddenly now, you don’t have the means to independently establish the facts?! What a sick crooked man you are. Not much worse than Osama in DC.

  6. Maskim UncleMo. The UN(United Nobodies) are a bunch of unemployed people with a lot of time on their hands, to do and says the most ridicules things

  7. when is your next show mr comedian? or should we call you mohamad? noone makes me laugh like you do! oh and by the way could u suggest somewhere safe to hide a few rockets? perhaps in one of your schools? thanx

  8. It seems there is a machlokes haposkim on whether the UN are United Nobodies or Unwanted Nobodies. As they frequently disagree among themselves, I think they are not United just Unwanted.

As for Wanky’s latest outburst, we have no independent means to verify exactly why he “is deeply concerned about the resumption of Israeli attacks on Gaza”.

Don’t worry Wanky it will all be over sooner or later, then you can go back to worrying about the Syrian Civil War where estimates say 140,000 people have been killed. In that war, the Syrian Army and/or the rebels have used sarin gas [as confirmed by your own inspectors Wanky] and there are reports of Syrian Air Force (government forces) using thermobaric weapons against residential areas occupied by the rebel fighters, such as during the Battle of Aleppo and also in Kafr Batna. A panel of Unwanted Nobdies human rights investigators reported that the Syrian government used thermobaric bombs against the strategic town of Qusayr in March 2013. In August 2013, the BBC reported on the use of napalm-like incendiary bombs on a school in northern Syria. Luckily that wasn’t a UNRWA building, so it doesn’t count.

Still Wanky, you are quite right to devote all your time to expressing your concerns about the Israelis trying to stop themselves being annihilated. Oh, did I forget to mention that unlike the Syrian situation, which is just a little spat between brothers, in Gaza HAMAS “Here Are Mohammed’s Assine Swine”, are trying to wipe out a nation state, a member of your great club, Wanky. Still don’t worry about it too much before dinner, they are only Jews.
