MK Regev Wants Law & Order on Har Habayis

hhaKnesset Interior Committee Chairwoman MK Miri Regev is continuing her efforts to make Har Habayis secure for Jews wishing to enter the holy site. She was referring to the coming weeks, the month of Tishrei, when many more Jews are expected to plan to visit the site.

During a committee session Regev turned to Israel Police Merchav David Commander Avi Biton, informing him she will not hesitate to petition the Supreme Court in her capacity as the Knesset committee due to the unacceptable situation towards Jews on Har Habayis. Regev cited the “abuse” towards Jews, adding it is unacceptable in the State of Israel for police to maintain they are incapable of protecting Jews wishing to visit the site.

Miri added that if need be, she will summon the police chief and the minister of public security.
