Once again the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita has instructed chassidim not to report to IDF draft centers. He told them they would not be arrested for following his instructions, telling them there is nothing to fear.

Addressing seudas shlishis on Shabbos Bereshis, the rebbe reiterated his position, that no one is to report to IDF induction centers. “I am repeating myself. One should not act on any letter, not a first, second or third. Reporting to a draft center is prohibited. Do not be afraid. No bochur will be arrested. There is no reason to fear the threats” stated the rebbe.

The rebbe stated that the IDF is trying to give the impression that the situation is acceptable for chareidim since they now have a new induction center exclusively for chareidim. He added that once one arrives they try to persuade one to enlist voluntarily, adding it is strictly prohibited for any chossid to report to the center.

The rebbe added the Moetzas Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisrael should be convening soon to discuss the matter but his personal opinion remain unchanged.
