A worker at a Staten Island car dealership was killed on Friday morning, after the building’s concrete roof partially collapsed. FDNY and NYPD Emergency Services Units worked to extricate the man, who was rushed to a local hospital in traumatic arrest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident happened just after 8:00AM inside Dana Lincoln Ford at 266 West Service Road, in the Travis section of Staten Island off the Shore Expressway.

Two other workers were being treated for less serious injuries from the collapse.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation. Multiple media outlets reported that the building was under renovation.
