Alter Yid, take it from someone that knows- to the “Reform” Jew as long as you “despise thier theology and blame their leaders” they take that as not accepting them as Jews.
All we can hope to do is to live and behave in a way that increases kacvod shamayim and hope that one day they realize the truth.

It is a breath of fresh air to this long time “AGUDANIK” to have one of our most articulate and talented writers acknowledge something positive about our reform bretheren. Yes, the message must be qualified as it is clearly spelled out by Rabbi Shafran, butthe point is, that it is a step in the right direction. Shouldn’t we be doing more to dispel the notion believed by most Reform Jews that we hate them and don’t really consider them Jews. Yes we despise their theology and blame their leaders who lead them astray, but why aren’t they aware that love for a fellow Jew of whatever stripe is a central theme of our very being.
