London: Update On Hit & Run On Golders Green Road


Following a hit and run collision which took place on Friday night on Golders Green Road which left a middle aged community Asken and his wife in hospital, Shomrim NW London have been in close contact with Barnet Police who are checking CCTV throughout the Borough.

Barnet Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Neil Seabridge has told Shomrim Coordinators “although Police resources are stretched over the holiday period, Barnet Police are taking this investigation very seriously and we are doing our utmost to ensure the suspect is caught.

Chief Superintendent Seabridge added “The local Inspector will be meeting with Shomrim coordinators shortly and CCTV of the area is in the process of thorough analysis.”

The Asken has undergone surgery to his leg today which was B”H successful, although his wife is still awaiting surgery. Both are in a stable non life threatening condition.

The wider community is asked to daven / say tehillim for their well being – Shlomo Ben Esther Chana and Bracha Bas Chana Rochel.

    Since it was a hit and run, and nobody knows who did it, how do we know it was motivated by anti-Semitism? Hit and runs can happen to anyone.

  2. There has been 2 or 3 murders in London since xmas and they caught the criminals, why they put in effort. This is a serious offense and if it means bring more officers that are on vacation then do it and catch the culprits

  3. BM, who told you takeh that it was motivated by antisemitism? There was no hint of such a thing in the article, so what are you talking about?
