PHOTOS: Friedman’s Kids Denied Access To School

(Tuesday, December 25th, 2007)

31.jpgEvery day, the children of Holocaust-denying Moshe Aryeh Friedman arrive to their school in Vienna. Upon arrival, they are refused entrance to the school by the security guards. As can be seen from the pictures, the children start to cry. Mr. Friedman is then seen pointing his finger at the guard, and yelling at him. Click HERE to see the photos.

These photos were taken after Friedman and his family returned after spending two months in Iran (as reported HERE on YW)!

It makes one wonder - what should be done here? Why should the children suffer for the actions of their deranged father?

yiddisha nishomas ………go ask the gedolei haposkim

  2. Flatbush Bubby says:

I believe this is the right thing to do. Even his children should know what type of scoundrel this man is. Our gedolei Torah didn’t label Friedman a rodeif because they had nothing to do. They understand and are more familiar with halacha and hashkofas Hatorah then the rest of us.

  3. shazam says:

    “…ubanim lo yumsu al avos”

I doubt the kids understand the father’s politics.

The last picture does NOT shoe the Rashah kissing the daughters.

    What a pity…

  4. ayiddele says:

I dont care what you say. As much as i hate friedman himself, my heart still goes out to his kids. Why should they suffer? I’m sure they hate what they go through, and despise their father. The father’s actions doesnt give a right to lash out at the innocent kids.

  5. Blue Pinky says:

While heartbreaking, the school does not really have a choice. And it’s not like Friedman didn’t know this will happen. He went into this with his eyes wide open, fully aware of what this could do to him and his family. It’s sad to see, sure, but let’s put the blame where it belongs – on him – not on the school. Look, nobody likes to see kids crying. But let’s focus on the millions of Jewish kids who’d be crying if Freidman and Achmedinjad have what they want.

All that aside, they’d probably suffer much more being admitted into school than by being excluded.

  6. DM says:

Makes me want to cry for those girls. To continue subjecting them to that pain.

It seems to me that both sides are wrong.

The school is wrong to take our their disagreement with their father’s actions on the children.
I can not blame them for being angry at Friedman.
We all are, but it is not the fault of the children.
I can not blame any Kehilla for wanting him out,
but hurting the girls is wrong…. did he not pay their tuition/schar limud?

Friedman is wrong to keep trying, going back day after day, and subjecting those girls to this humiliation again and again.

But no sense in dragging up the old issues again and again, with those photos with Mr. Yuchmenidijon. We all know what he did. The vast majority disagree with him. Why bring it up again and again. Are we not doing the same, bringing up hurt again and again?

  7. mommy says:

“why should the children suffer for the actions of their deranged father?”

That’s Life!!!!! When parents divorce-even though they’re not doing it intentionally to harm thier kids-But at the end of day the Children SUFFER FOR THE ACTIONS OF THEIR PARENTS!

I think the children should be taken away from thier father and rescued!! Sakanos NESHOMOS!!!What does his wife say about his Hashkafas? Maybe she should also be taken away?

  8. shaindelle says:

Although you might think that these children are paying for the crimes of their father, that is not necessarily the case. These children might have the same opinion as their deranged father – how can one allow such a child into school with other children? Most of the children in this school have grandparents/great-grandparents that suffered the terrible inhumane horrors of the Holocaust – how hurtful and shameful it would be to allow the denial to become a topic of discussion in the classroom, during recess, or anytime. They SHOULD be kept in cheirem until they are totally cleansed from such thoughts.

  9. A. G. from Philly says:

We can all agree that the father is a nut-case.

I contend that the school, by keeping the kids out, is losing an opportunity to do KIRUV on them – and deprogram them from their dad’s brainwashing.

  10. DeliberatelyEsoteric says:

    Heartbreaking pictures.

WHY does Mr. F. insist on putting his daughters through this pain daily??

These poor children need a NORMAL foster home

  11. noshoichis says:

once again does the school have a psak from gedolei haposkim ????or are these kids going to out in the street and then we will have to help for being at risk ???
does any one know if there is a psak ?

  12. Think Straight says:

Why doesn’t “Chief Rabbi” Friedman open his own school for his thousands of followers? Oh, that’s right- HE DOESNT HAVE the thousands he claims to!!

Yes, I feel terrible for those sweet looking kinderlach. They look like any good Bais Yakkov kids do in NY, Lakewood, Yerushalayim, etc. But there must be consequences for the father’s actions.

    Let him homeschool them.

  13. jjlkwd says:

a mamzer is in the same boat. no dirt on his/her hands only the parents. right and wrong is only in the eyes of the torah and the way chazal interpret it. go deny har sinai and send your kids to school.

  14. art says:

Kol hameracheim al ho’achzorim sofo l’achzeir al harachmanim.

No school would allow a child who was out for two months on a family vacation to come back, forget about the politics.

No school would allow the child of a Jewish-born missionary in, regardless of where and when he vacations.

  15. DeliberatelyEsoteric says:

    BTW, who took these pictures??

Especially the closeup of the girl crying…

    Added humiliation!! :(

  16. tzvi73 says:

Why are the girls trying to get into a boys school? In picture 5 there are boys with long peyos standing on top of the wall, inside the fence. Unless (could it be?) both schools are on the same campus?

  17. ItsAllGood says:

why is everyone so concerned about these kids??
these kids AREN’T jewish!!!! if a$$mandenejad wanted to get his into this school would you feel the same about his kids?? c’mon they dont belong in a jewish school!

  18. kollelwife says:

I’m almost in tears looking at these pictures. Why should innocent children suffer for the sins of their father? Poor children. My heart breaks for them.

  19. hockerinbklyn says:

that cant be his kid in the pic, none of his have blonde hair!

  20. Joseph says:

As much of a nut the father may be, the children are not responsible for his craziness. They should not have suffering inflicted upon them by being denied access to a Jewish education.

Should they go to public school and be taught violence and foreign religion? Certainly not! ALL children are ENTITLED to a Jewish education.

  21. ny100k says:

The only one to blame is the father. He knows that they wont be allowed in, yet he takes them there every day. He continues to use them as a pawn. He is further subjecting them to pain.

The children were thrown out after the Rabbonim met and came to the conclusion. They seriously considered the children’s feelings. This is daas torah.

Maybe he should have thought about his kids before he acted the way he did. He is nothing but a publicity seeker, and is enjoying every minute of attention.

  22. nameless says:

    15,

    ‘Kol Hamiracheim……..’

A poor analogy. Those kids are in NO WAY the Achzorim, the father is. What do you think will happen to those children if they are denied a Jewish education?? Are we not responsible for Acheinu Bnei Yisroel,,,? The influence the school might be able to have on them might save them from turning into another Moshe ‘Achmed’ Friedman…

  23. mark levin says:

Can YW editor confirm these pix as being real and NOT staged?? Something looks fishy to me not only what someone pointed out about the girls “going to a boys school.”

  24. yosself says:

My gut feeling tells me that Friedman will eventually convert to a Moslem.

  25. balabusta says:

#18 those kids are most definitely Jewish. They were born to a Jewish mother. Once a Jew, always a Jew.

Do you know that Rav Kook did not allow saying “y’mach shmoe” concerning zionist mesisim u’medichim (those who lead Jews astray) because a Jew can always do teshuva, or his descendants can. So we don’t say that his memory should be wiped out.

We say “yitamu chatoim min haaretz” – may sins be wiped out – but not the sinners.

Those poor Jewish children. May Hashem help them to make their own good choices in life, despite their father’s misguidedness.

  26. normalperson says:

get your facts straight. he is not a holocaust denyer. He is anti- the state of Israel. Not that I am condoning that either, just want to clarify.

  27. nameless says:

Click HERE to see a video of the children getting kissed by Hitler himself.

    WATCH AND WEEP!!

    Edited by Moderation Panel.

  28. nameless says:

    27,

He claims that only 1 MILLION Jews persished in the Holocaust. To ME, thatts as bad as denying the whole thing!!!

  29. Lawman says:

I feel bad for the kids, I really do. I think a rav has to be consulted as to whether the kids can be lkept out of school. Assuming one was consulted and this was the answer, then it has to made explicitly clear to Friedman that this is the ramifications of his actions and that he has to decide for himself if this is something he can live with……

His wife really, really needs to re-think getting a get.

  30. LBK says:

Look at the dates on the pictures and read the story again. Something seems staged about this.

  31. art says:

    normalperson,

He participated in a Holocaust denial conferenece.

He marched with, embraced and kissed murderes with Jewish blood on their hands.

I ask again: Would you allow a meshumad’s children — who live in his home — in your child’s class?

I wonder how many of the bleeding-heart liberals with a distorted sense of ahavas Yisroel would be signing a different tune if he would have massered on their rebbe — or be on the “other rebbe”‘s side in a yerushah fight.

The shittah of the Divrei Yoel zy”a (whether it’s a virual daas yochid isn’t for now) has been distorted enough. He gave clear instructions for anti-Zionist rallies to disband if even one gioy showed up to participate.

    Tzei mikan tammei!

  32. ujm says:

#29/nameless, What is your source for that? Sounds quite libelous of you. He never said anything of the like! It is a fiction of his enemies.

What is true it true and what is not is not.

  33. MDshweks says:

For all the ‘Rachmanim’: would you alow your child to become his children’s best friend?

Jewish education could be provided at home [especially when they differ on many fundemental issues],and according to his words they have a number of families, which can hang out together.

But he desparatly wants to “main-stream” him self, and that’s why he comes daily…

  34. toivish says:

I agree with #25 but it would be a terrible tragedy. If you look on wikepedia it seems that hes having a very hard time finacialy for the past year and a half.He needs big time help.

  35. nameless says:

    33,

Do I need a ‘source’ to prove that Mr. Friedman is a flaming imbecile? I imagine you ‘know’ he said nothing of the like because his supporters told you so, right?????

The fact is this is a man who made a bris in Antwerp , a very prominent Rebbe walked out on him, he was shunned by the communities thre, and all over Europe including Vienna. No shul will accept him, no one greets him, Shabbos and Yt he davens between the walls of his house…..

  36. yid613 says:

Those pictures are heartbreaking. If they are real they should not be made public.

However, even though they are probably real in the the sense that the school doesn’t let them in, I wouldn’t be surprised if knowing that they would throw the kids out, he had a camera ready and prepared his daughter to cry.

  37. Joseph says:

art-#33, IF there is any ‘Daas Yochid’, it is the ”opinion” opposing the Divrei Yoel.

  38. Joseph says:

    art-#32 rather (not 33).

nameless, ujm asked for a source for the specific claim you made. He doesn’t have to ‘disprove’ something you claim someone else said. He asked what your source was. Of course he is an imbecile, but that is different than so-called holocaust denial.

  39. aaaa says:

It makes one wonder – what should be done here? Why should the children suffer for the actions of their deranged father? Well for one don’t go publicising
his childrens’ pictures all over the internet. Seriously how could Yeshivaworld post pictures of a bas yisroel crying like that? Do you really think that’s news or gossip? Maybe you should ask the gedolim if pictures like these being posted are not in anyway against halocho. Everyone knows what a rosho merusha friedman is. Those pictures are not needed to help us understand that.

  40. deepthinker says:

THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL.

THERE MUST BE MORE TO THIS STORY. PLEASE INVESTIGATE!

  41. nameless says:

    Joseph InCompany;

Sorry, cant give a source! If Mr. Friedman or anyone else wants to call me to Bais Din on charges of false accusations, feel free…..

  42. Joseph says:

nameless, thats unfortunate! Obviously the guy is a bissel meshuga, to put it mldly. But still lets try to keep to the facts and not make claims which are unsubstantiated.

But that doesn’t mean his daughters should be denied a Jewish education, further exacerbating an unfortunate situation.

  43. bestbubby says:

Well, I just watched the video clip. I can’t bear to watch it again, but a few things are very obvious. THE WIFE IS AS INVOLVED AS FRIEDMAN. She doesn’t want a get; she’s not afraid; she’s having a great time, beaming from ear to ear.

The children are another story. They appear to be smiling, but somewhat uncomfortable, as if they don’t like being in the limelight. Meanwhile, the Hitler is definitely making nice to them.

Bottom line…these kids aren’t stupid like their parents. They care about being ostracized by their peers and there’s nothing they can do about it. They’re little kids! They want a normal life, but they know they’ll never have one. That’s a tragedy.

The school, however, has no choice. Sometimes Korbonos are necessary to save many. Some of the posters today explained the reasons better than I could. I feel sorry for the children & the Hanhala, but sometimes, parents’ actions cause repercussions. Don’t we tell our children that there will be consequences to their actions? Same thing here.

  44. DAS TOIRAH says:

This is a very complex case for me to just paskin in one sentence. From the information that i have i would say that the school is right. I understand that we are dealing with precious yiddishe neshamos, however we can assume that these girls share the haskofos of their father which can lead to sharing these thoughts with other pure neshamos. Dont we all agree that if the parents have a TV in their house that its understandable that a school will not want to except the kids? so too in this case which is alot worse! Either Mr. Freidman should shape up if he feel an achrayus towards his kids or SHIP OUT! HE IS A DISCRACE FOR OUR WHOLE COMMUNITY!!!

  45. chaimski says:

why doesn’t he wear a shtraimel like when he hot zech kekisht mit Achmadmaniak?!

  46. Itzik_s says:

The right thing is for a school outside Vienna to offer free tuition and a place to stay for these kids so that they get away from their lunatic and corrupt father. Otherwise, they will be caught up in his web for life.

Freaky Freedy has decent and normal sisters in NY. While I doubt they have the resources to take in their nephews and nieces, someone in their NY community could do something for them (and then they would have contact with their normal relatives).

As it is I would assume there are truancy laws in Austria, so that the children may well be forced to leave or attend public school if the school does not let them in.

Also, Freaky has a huge unpaid tuition bill at the school. Mahmoud’ele pays only for madrassa schooling, not yeshiva/Beis Yaakov fees.

  47. nameless says:

I really cant believe that an issue is being made about a question on whether or not he mocked the degree of devastation during the war on behalf of his fellow Jews. He attended a conference where notorious Antisemites took part in questioning the Holocaust. Thats bad enough not to mention everything else..
The fact that you are finding a ‘kaf zechus’ because I cant prove it is UNFORTUNATE!

But I do agree the children are not responsible…

  48. Itzik_s says:

    Also:

Bestbubby – Mrs Friedman is brainwashed by her husband. She does not even know what she is enjoying anymore.

Nameless and all others – Freaky’s nonsense count of one million victims was written up in the press. As I said at the time (look in the archives of this site), more than one million Yidden either with the surname Friedman or related to someone of that surname were probably killed during the churban.

Finally, look at that poc of the girl crying with Freaky facing her. He is so obviously manipulating her, which is why it would be a great idea to get those poor children out of the hands of those dysfunctional parents at least for school and camp.

  49. mp says:

A yeshiva education ( and I assume that this is a yeshiva) is a privilage, not a right !
A privilage that this yeshiva does not wish to accord to those that do not share in their views of the world.
How many of us have heard of a yeshiva asking a parent not to enroll a child into their yeshiva because the parents have a TV, internet, or God forbid a job.

    MP

  50. Joseph says:

Hey, I am following in the great footsteps of Rav Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev! Be dan lkav zchus for everyone! (Big footsteps, no doubt, that I can hardly fill a minute fraction of.)

But really, lets not put words into peoples mouths (i.e. a specific number he allegedly claimed) — as much as we disagree with them.

  51. azh says:

Anyone who watched that video knows that those kids need much more than a Jewish school. They need special attention and individualized help.

  52. deepthinker says:

In the current issue of Mishpacha magazine, Rav Grylak, in the editoral tells this story about Rav Shach, ZT”L, the Gadol Hador.

A Yeshiva Menahel once visited Rav Shach, ZT”L, to ask his permission to throw out a boy who was disruptive and not behaving up to the standards of the Yeshiva.

Rav Shach asked the Menahel: “Have you inquired into the boy’s family situation?” The Mehanel answered: No!

“Then you are a murderer! said Rav Shach.

    Think about it!

  53. Joseph says:

MP — A jewish education is a right not a privilege. No child should be penalized for their fathers sins.

  54. moshe23 says:

i feel bad for the kids who dont know anything and are realy brainwash

  55. nameless says:

Yes, we MUST be dan lecaff zechus, but we were also taught NOT to be naive!

If you see someone walk into a treife restaraunt on a regular basis, it would be very nice to assume that he goes in to use the restroom, but hey, get real!

Not knowing the EXACT source, it HAS been said that he messed with the numbers, and the fact that I mentioned it on this blog is not gona give me sleepless nights. But I ‘m sure he appreciates
    your two cents!

  56. mommy30 says:

I also feel sorry for these kids. However,I would not want my kids in school with his. You can’t corrupt many classes for the sake of a couple of kids.

  57. Joseph says:

nameless, A lot of falsehoods ”HAS been said” to use your paralance. Don’t believe everything you hear! (See, I am dan lkav zchus that you heard this from some secret source, that you can’t EXACTly recall, and do not assume you pulled it out of thin air!)

Anyhow, I somehow suspect he doesn’t read or care for this blog, and as such will not appreciate anyones two (or three) cents worth.

  58. Blue Pinky says:

Anyhow, I somehow suspect he doesn’t read or care for this blog, and as such will not appreciate anyones two (or three) cents worth.

I’d bet that he does. He lives for the attention. He needs people to notice him.

  59. nameless says:

    Jos’

‘See……..and do not assume you pulled it out of thin air’..

    YOSHAR KOACH! I appreciate that!!!
In any case, see comment nos. 49.

I am not gona ‘kler’ whether or not I screwed up Friedman’s rep . Its too bad thought, that this blog does not meet his standard of intellect, your support would do him a world of good!

  60. Joseph says:

nameless, Who’s support? I don’t see a single comment in support of him in the all the posts above.

You should be careful though with the truth, even if the guy is a gantze meshugana.

The ”press” is the last source I’d ever trust for telling the truth.

  61. nnzs says:

Accept his kids in a Jewish School????? Any Yeshiva or Bais Yaakov that would accept garbage (mezara amalek) like his kids should be shunned by everyone. Kudos to the hanhalla of the school for doing the right thing!!!

  62. nameless says:

‘The ‘’press’’ is the last source I’d ever trust for telling the truth.

I agree, Friedman and his compadres are probably more reliable;)))

  63. dontjustfollow says:

I know for a fact that “his own” close family forcefully took the kids away to another country (maybe only the boys?)… but HE came with police to “collect his kids from the “kidnappers”…

His wife is like any other “abused” spouse… she MUST go along willingly “or else” (he’s threatened that he has contacts in every corner of the world to get her and the kids)

This is something I just found out recently… It was real eye-opening hearing things from a different perspective.

Re: the above photos: What an “achzer”!! Heartless! All he wants is the limelight… no matter how he can get it. Let his children be humiliated every day… that’s just exactly how he likes it. (Seems to be following the Muslim playbook…) So, so sad… :(

  64. harrys says:

I’m sure that he will get a ONESH MiN HASCHMAYIM what he is doing . But we can not take his children responsible thay need a house thay need food thay need clothing & thay need a school . We can not throw out his children from no place the RABONIM who has a schichus to that school has to do evrything to make that thay should let them in

  65. Rav Mechel says:

Joseph,I agree with you whole heartedly, a child should not be refused a jewish education because of his fathers sins. Imagine the consequences if these children go off the derech, the school will have to give some serious din vecheshbon.

  66. PuhLease says:

Why punish the children because the father is an idiot?

  67. HILLARY says:

There is freedom of speech, religion and choice. each person that feels he is doing important values for the klal we commend him. and we will support him.

  68. ItsAllGood says:

joseph are you for real??????? be dan lekaf zechus this animal????? you are arguing about whether he said 1 million or not, the man went to a HOLOCAUST DENIAL CONFERENCE in IRAN is that not enough for you? He sat with, shook hands with, embraced, kissed, the biggest anti semites, david duke and the like, ppl who openly talk about killing jews, and you have the audacity to try and cover up his deeds?? By attending that conference he gave credence to those beliefs!! which makes him part of that camp!

  69. isaak of vienna says:

I live in Vienna and my kids attend that school. Friedman brings his kids every day to school acompanied by a photographer to take pics of the entry denial of his kids. He is a Roshe, who plays his cynical game on the backs of his children! He WANTS them to cry, so he can show everyone how terrible and cruel the Zionists (that`s what he calls the Chassidishe school)are. We are not fooled by him! He is a vicious lunatic full of hatred for his own people, who has been put in Cheirem by all Rabbonin of Vienna. See what the Shulchan Oruch writes about such people and their family. and yes, he is a holocaust-denyer who is beeing granted legal help by an Austrian right-wing antisemitic party! We do not want our kids to sit on the same bench with his kids.as sad as it is for those kinderlach!

  70. isaak of vienna says:

We at the school have a serious security concern about letting his kids into school. mind you, when his son was still at the school at the age of 12-13 there was a suicide attack l”a in Israel. Upon hearing the terrible news in school, he jumped up in joy exclaiming “he wished he would be zoiche to become a suicide bomber one day and kill those zionists” Oy leoznaiyim shekach shomoiz! He is mesugal to send one of his kids to do just that CH”VSH.

  71. Joseph says:

    Rav Mechel – Thanks

ItsAllGood – I don’t know what you are talking about. I was referring to being dan lkav zchus for nameless. This guy is a poshut meshugana.

  72. isaak of vienna says:

BESIDES HIS HASHKOVOS, HE IS A MACHALEL SHABBOS B´FARHESSIYA: HE SPOKE AT AN ARAB ANTI ISRAEL RALLY IN BERLIN, GERMANY ON SHABBOS WEARING HIS STREIML; INTO A MICROPHONE. A JUDGE IN AN AUSTRIAN COURT HEARING (ONE OF NUMEROUS) ASKED ,”YOU CLAIM TO BE A RABBI; SO HOW COME YOU SPOKE INTO A MIC ON SATURDAY, WHICH AS I KNOW IS FORBIDDEN BY JEWISH LAW?” SO HE ANSWERED, THAT HE DID NOT ACTUALLY HOLD THE MIC BUT ONLY SPOKE INTO IT, AND THAT IS MACHLOKES HAPOSKIM IF FORBIDDEN OR NOT….

  73. mdlevine says:

Let the girls into the school.

Do not let them interact with the other girls.
Do not mainstream them into the regular classes.
Do not let them even have lunch with the other girls.

Give them their own private classroom.
Give them their own private tutors – that specialize in getting people out of cults.
Spend the entire day de-programming them from the evilness of their father and setting them on a true Torah path.
The next day and the day after that, do the same.

Keep doing it until they understand that they have to live with their father until they can either marry or declare legal emancipation.

  74. HonestAbe says:

This is called cherem! That is what everyone on previous YW posts have been trying to get the community to do. Now that they have started and don’t let his kids in, don’t complain! He is a truly evil person, and I would not want his kids in school with my children.
We still can daven that his children (and himself) have charata and become baalei teshuva.

  75. Joseph says:

mdlevine, You formula is harsher than expelling innocent Yiddishe Kinder for no fault of their own.

Isolating, quarantining and disallowing social interaction for a young innocent Jewish child is a proven recipe for disaster. It certainly will NOT put them onto the path towards a Torah lifestyle.

BTW, marriage and/or legal age would occur after their school years are completed. So I don’t see how that affects this matzif.

  76. mdlevine says:

    Joseph
    1) their father is a cult leader
    2) they are following in the cult
    3) they need to be de-programmed before it is too late

expelling them all but certainly gaurentees that they will follow in the footsteps of their father.

de-programming them so that they understand the postition that they are in can help them to cope with the craziness of their life. putting them with the other girls could be psychologically damaging (taunts, etc).

perhaps my last point was not clear keep up the de-programming until they can cope with their family situation – once they are on track, mainstream them with the other girls.

sadly, what would probably happen is that once they got into school and if the administration did this, the father would pull them out and not let them attend anyway. at least at that point, he could not point his finger at anyone BUT himself.

now, show me the stats for the “proven recipe for disasater”

  77. pinny says:

I agree with #78 he offers the best solution for all above comments. Also yitammu chatoim velo chotim and also steel keeps the kinds far from the rest of the students.

  78. A Tzionist says:

    To all of above.
See comments 72 and 73 by Isaak of Austria. That should end all discussion. Spend your time to save Yerushalaim and Yiddishkeit.

    A Tzionist

  79. Opinion says:

Why the sudden switch in schooling? What was the problem with the school they were in until now?Why would he want to send his children to a school that doesnt share his values.Perhaps he should consider home schooling. If you were a principle,Would you accept a child in a home that the parents were members of Jews for Jesus? The Nazi Party? Why not? Why should thier children suffer? Every school has to draw its line somewhere.

when parents in local yeshivos & Bais Yaakov schools fail to pay their tuition on time – the children are not allowed into school…..

where is the outcry about that?

why should the children suffer for their parents actions………………

  82. HILLARY says:

honest abe if it be your children and you are meshuge would you say the same thing?

  83. Joseph says:

    mdlevine,

I think its plain common sense that when you penalize a CHILD for something she is not responsible for, you are causing great psychological damage to her and will greatly increase the likelihood of her rebelling from Yiddishkeit. This type of situation is unfortunately all too common, and has replayed itself.

The bottom line here is so far no one has offered who the Rov is that approved this expulsion. Which Rov takes the achrayis for preventing Yiddishe tuchters from receiving a Torah schooling. Who is this Daas Torah? A simple name of one Rov who can be called upon to verify this has his haskomo.

  84. BPguy says:

There are schools in New York that will expell your children if you take them to Florida on mid winter break. The reasonthey calim is because your children are exposed to certain elements that they do not want brought back to school with them. Now that this NUT took his children to Iran and made them participate inthis meeting, don’t you think they will not come back to school and share the experiance with the others. I would not want any of these children around my kids! They are not at fault, but neither are the other children and their parents that put an effort into raising them with normal jewish values. SHAME ON FRIEDMAN!

  86. mitzy says:

Kol Hakavod to the Vienna community for standing their ground! It is a GOOD thing to keep this whack job in cherem, let his children hate him! It’s unfortunate that they have to suffer for having an evil father, but hey, life isn’t fair, and they will G-d willing see his evil ways and turn from him. Have emunah…the kids will do just fine and perhaps the father will one day be zoche to meet by with a pack of skinheads or better yet fanatical Jew-hating Iranians.

pinny#80 – what soution do you read in comment #78?

  89. mdlevine says:

    joseph,

“The bottom line here is so far no one has offered who the Rov is that approved this expulsion.”

hate to burst your bubble, but, no one needs to supply the name of the Rov to you, me or anyone else. this was/is their decision and if they did or did not consult Daas Torah is on their heads.

regarding “rebelling from Yiddishkeit.” if you do not educate them about the evil ways of their father (basically re-progamming them) you will lose them completely to becoming “peace loving” muslims.

look at the father and his position — EVERY SINGLE YID is wrong except him and a few of his friends. arabfat was good, achmenidajad is good, hamas is good, hezbulla is good, suicide bombers are good, Yidden that disagree with him (what is that about 99.9999% of the world Jewish population) are bad, evil, bloodthirsty, lying, land stealing killers. hmmm, grow up in that environment and see which side you come out on.

this whole nk thing is not Judaism it is a cult and the members and their children need to be re-programed. if parents chas v’Shalom become j4… or hindu or whatever and there is a way to save the kids without jeopardizing your kids, you do it. same here. nk is a cult.

  90. Joseph says:

    mdlevine,

You are wrong. A Jew must lead his life by Daas Torah. And that is even in the most seemingly insignificant decisions a Yid makes. Certainly in such a monumentous undertaking as expelling Yiddishe Kinder from Yeshiva, Daas Torah MUST be consulted and followed. Furthermore, a Jew has a RIGHT to ask someone what Rov/Daas Torah approved of such action and upon what basis.

BTW, as an aside, this mishugana is not part of nk. He doesn’t even CLAIM to be part of nk, unlike those misguided souls in Monsey who (unauthorizedly) use the holy name of the nk of Hagoen Rav Amrom Blau in vain.

  91. mdlevine says:

joseph – sorry, but your opinions stated as fact are not as meaningful as you think and certainly not factual.

for issues that do not directly impact you, you do not have to have the inside knowledge of the decisions made by others and which of the Gedolim they followed. I am assuming that they followed Daas Torah – if not, it is on them. If you do not have children in this school, you do not need to be privy to the inner conversations as you think you do. Additionally, just because this becomes a news story here on YW or in any other outlet, does not mean that joseph needs to be filled in on all the details.

you disagree with my posts – no big deal to me, others disagree with me also – you, however, tend to get extremely hostile, whereas others just say, there goes mdlevine again and move on.

b/t/w, my Rov knows that I frequent this site and that I post here, does yours?

  92. willi says:

Don’t understand this Friedman… If he’s a muslim why send his children to a jewish school?

2- The children don’t have to suffer because we all happen to know who their crazy father is. In ‘ordinary’ Kiruv situations, do we ever bother to check out the ‘yichus’ of these far’glitchte yidden? why should it be different here>>

  93. Joseph says:

Yes mdlevine – And ask your Rov if someone does a public action (i.e. expel Yiddishe children from Yeshiva) and are asked based upon which Rov is this acton permissable, if they are duty bound to explain the halachic justification of their public action. I think, regardless of who your Rov is, you will be surprised by his answer to you.

And dear mdlevine, I fail to see any ”hostilties” in our back-and-forth conversation. I am disappointed that (apparently) a disagreement constitutes as being ”hostile” in your evaluation. (Certainly far less ”hostile” than many legitimate disagreements between poiskim.) I would hope you would reconsider that point.

  94. mdlevine says:

joseph, then call the Yeshiva in Vienna and ask them who guided them. learn about the news here and go to the source for your information. if they choose to release the information to you, fine, if not, pursue it however you want. the point is, they do not need to listen to posts on YW or anyother site to give out this information AND if a post came in claiming to be the Rosh Yeshiva of this Yeshiva, unless, there is a signed, scanned, readable and verifiable document with it, who knows if it is true anyway.

re: “hostile” maybe that was too strong of a word. if I offended you, please accept my apology.

go ahead, you can have the last word…

  95. KAHANAwasRIGHT says:

kudos to the school! It’s about time someone stood up to this maniac! He can enrol them in a muslim school! He has great references, just ask his rabbi. rabbi hitler Ahmadinejad, YM”SH

  96. isaak of vienna says:

THE DECISION TO BAN THE FRIEDMAN KIDS FROM THE SCHOOL WAS TAKEN AFTER HIS RETURN FROM THE HOLOCAUST DENIAL CONFERENCE AND NOT AFTER HIS RECENT TRIP TO ACHMED HIS FRIEND. THE SCHOOL IS AFFILIATED WITH THE MACHSIKE HADASS KEHILLOH IN VIENNA, AND IT´S HALACHIC AUTHORITY WAS HARAV HAGAON CHAYM STERN ZAZAL, A GAON ADIR WHO WAS NIFTER RECENTLY: HE WAS THE SON OF THE “B´ZEL HACHOCHME” THE BROTHER OF THE DEBRECENER ROV OF BORO PARK. THE RABBONIM OF VIENNA SHLITA CAME TO THE CONCLUSION, THAT THE ONLY WAY TO RID OUR COMMUNITY OF THIS PEST CALLED FRIEDMAN, IS BY COMPLETELY ISOLATING HIM AND HIS FAMILY IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY; NO KOSHER STORE IS ALLOWED TO SELL HIM FOOD, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY INTERACTION WITH THEM WHATSOEVER. IT TOOK THEM A LONG TIME, TO TAKE SUCH DRASTIC MEASURES, BUT HEGIYOO MAYIM AD NOFESH! WHAT ELSE DOES HE HAVE TODO, IN ORDER TO GET THE COMMUNITY TO REACT.
BUT UNFORTUNATLY IT DOES NOT QUITE WORK WITH HIM, BECAUSE HE JUST WANTS THAT! HE WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, IF HIS KIDS WOULD BE ALLOWED BACK TO SCHOOL…HE`D HAVE TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE TO MAKE TROUBLE AND GET ATTENTION.BUT THEY WON`T LET THEM IN, BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS HIS CHILDREN ONTHE SAME BENCH AS THEIR OWN CHILDREN (SEE MY POSTINGS 72,73&75)

  97. chassi says:

Boy, are his kids going to have trouble with shidduchim…

  98. jichok says:

Wenn everyone is Zionist in Vienna (only he is the light of antizionism) what wants he here? Why wants that his children (they are yung but they can already cry of command!) going in this scool? There are enough Moshes in Vienna they would be there ambressed (or not even there?)!
