I don’t believe that ALL of the Lakewood kehillah will be “out of town” for the summer recess. Perhaps a few go to the shore or a bunglaow colony but those are not the wealthy yidden who would pay $1,000 for a treifus dinner with Romney anyway.

P.S. Look at the election returns in 2008 for Lakewood and Atlantic county on the website of the NJ Board of Elections. While McCain got the majority of votes cast,you will be surprised Obama’s percentages in the frum communities. Maybe the Rav’s political directives are not as powerful among the BMG crowd as say in KJ.

It should be clearly explained to Mr. Romney that the orthodox community of Lakewood, which measures in the tens of thousands, are practically all out-of-town for the summer recess.

Any lack of crowd from that community is simply due to the above.

For the most part, practically 100% of that community will indeed be voting for Romney.
