Brooklyn: Water Alert From DEP

nyc_dep.gifDue to routine water system maintenance by the DEP Mon., Jan. 28, residents in areas of Brooklyn may experience discolored tap water. This water is safe to drink & does not require boiling. Washing clothes with it may tint or stain garments. Letting it settle before drinking is recommended.

    It should be filtered prior to drinking, like any NYC tap water at all times.

    You drink it. Call me in seven years and let me know how you’re feeling. By the way, New York water comes in many flavors: Zesty Rat Hair, Eau de Saringe, Rusty Recycled and Ziv Hanahar.

    joseph, are you referring to the bugs in the water? if so is it nyc or just brooklyn ?

    If it can tint our garments, just think what it can do to our bodies!!

    sasoon, All 5 NYC boroughs use the same water supply. Unlike almost every other municipal water supply in the U.S., it is unfiltered. (There are only 5 cities that have such a waiver from the DEP).
