Trump Denies ‘Derogatory’ Remarks on Haitians; CNN’s Jake Tapper ‘Clarifies Reporting’ As UN Calls Remarks ‘Racist’

President Donald Trump is insisting he “never said anything derogatory about Haitians.”

Trump is reacting on Twitter Friday, after reports that he questioned why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “(expletive removed) countries” in Africa rather than places like Norway. Some media outlets also reported that Trump said in reference to Haitians, “take them out.”

Trump tweets: “Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said ‘take them out.'”

Trump’s contemptuous description of an entire continent startled lawmakers in the meeting and immediately revived charges of racism.

The White House has not denied the language used at the Thursday meeting on immigration. Three people briefed on the conversation described the language. The people were not authorized to describe the conversation and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Three people briefed on the conversation say Trump questioned why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “(expletive removed) countries” in Africa rather than places like Norway. The people were not authorized to describe the conversation and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Trump says Friday: “The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made – a big setback for DACA!”

Trump says the “so-called bipartisan” deal “was a big step backwards” because it doesn’t fund a wall along the Mexican border.

He adds: “I want a merit based system of immigration and people who will help take our country to the next level. I want safety and security for our people. I want to stop the massive inflow of drugs.”

On Friday morning, Trump’s comment was branded racist by a UN human rights official.

“If confirmed these are shocking and shameful comments from the President of the United States,” spokesperson Rupert Coleville said.

“There is no other word you can use but ‘racist’.”

“You cannot dismiss entire countries and continents as ‘(expletive removed)’, whose entire populations who are not white, are therefore not welcome.”

“This isn’t just a story about vulgar language, it’s about opening the door to humanity’s worst side, about validating and encouraging racism and xenophobia.”

Meanwhile, an hour after Trump tweeted his denial of how he used the language, CNN’s Jake Tapper tweeted a string of messages to “clarify” what the President actually said.

  1. Shocking that Jake Tapper would admit to such a thing!
Once again we see how the fake news takes a story and completely spins it with their twisted and biased ideology while adding a couple of lies along the way.

  2. While the Prez’s language was vulgar, his sentiments were completely accurate. America cannot be the dumping ground of the world. America First!.

  3. The question is who at the meeting referenced Trump’s words in such a way and then went blabbing to the press? They should be exposed.

  4. America first doesn’t mean that racism and vulgarity are now the norm….this foul-mouthed excuse for a leader doesn’t represent even those who believe we should have more rational limits on immigration any more than yidden who used vulgar and racist codewords for Afro-Americans represented those who felt the need for greater security in our neighborhoods. The reaction to “political correctness” doesn’t require a race down the sewer as Trump seems to think.

  5. Trump is a racist. He doesn’t know David Duke. Obama was born in Kenya. Neo Nazi demonstrators are “fine people” and more. Wake up and face reality. The fact that seichal and Arizona purport to care about truth and honesty but excuse away and even justify Trumps lies, racism and inability to ever apologize for anything is pathetic and disgusting.

  6. Trump is so right!!!

This is evil in our time!!
They don’t care about Africans or any other race, they care about power and need their VOTES!!!!

Let’s call their bluff, by insisting every immigrant is automatically a republican vote! Not ONE immigrant would be allowed into this country, NO MATTER HOW BLACK THEY ARE!!

  7. Gadolhadorah : Yes, Afro-Americans (who never stepped foot in Africa) are the cause of the demise of NYC, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, etc. They are enemies of the state. You probably would’ve objected to the use of “Japs” and “Krauts” during WWII. Why don’t you move to Israel? There you will only have to contend with Palestinian and Zionist terrorists.
