I guess the importance outside of religious ritual never occurred to them. Including hygiene reasons and the lowering of STD rates. The loyalty to far left ideology trumps all common sense.

It is just as ignorant for men to wear a tie and to shake
hands when they meet and to greet each other by going cheek to cheek. These are all symbols that represent something. Circumcision represents a covenant started by the first Jew, Abraham.
In the USA, a wonderful free country, you are not forced to do anything you do not want to do. If you Google benefits of circumcision you will be shocked how wise Abraham was.

It is a G-d given commandment, and therefore it is right and proper to circumcise a child. Jews and Muslims, as B’nei Avrohom Ovinu have been doing it for thousands of years. I would venture to assume that the Norwegians are a Godless people.

A pity they export much to the US so it wouldn’t help to boycott them (their major export is oil, and it mostly goes to the EU). Israel could make a point of being rude to them at international meetings – but the people who run Israel don’t like us either.
