This article and its accompanying comments is an affront to the many terror victims and, especially, to those of this particular attack, all pure, innocent, deeply mourned tzaddikim. To associate a massacre of fifteen Jews, including eight children, (and the critical injury of Chana Tova bat Pesha) with a “miracle”, whitewashes the catastrophic nature of this atrocity. Why is it that so many frum Jews cannot sustain their belief in Hashem and his Torah in the face of such events? Why are they only able to remain faithful if the “proof” of Hashem’s involvement in our world is made simplistically patent? “Tzaddik v’rah lo” is a cold, harsh truth of existence. Remove your blinders: Acknowledge it, accept it and remember the Sbarro attack for what it really was.

Yidel: The story you are referring to is an out and out fake, and this Pruz song is another version of it that is totally fictitious.

The original story (fake) is about a waitress named Tehila Maoz HY”D. Note the HY”D. She was killed in the bombing, and while her brother says that she did somehow get some people to leave for some reason, she certainly could not have been in NYC during 9/11 as she is in Gan Eden.

A very strange story that I did witness: I was in Yerushalayim in 1995 or 1996 just when they were clearing out 2 stores to make room for Sbarro. One was a shoe store owned by an elderly couple IIRC, and they were selling off their stock, getting ready to close. The one next to it, the one right on the corner of King George and Yafo, was a jewelry store. One morning, I was walking past the Amudim building on the other side of Rechov Yafo, and all of a sudden a car reversed into the display window of the jewelry store in what looked to me like a staged accident – glass was smashed but B”H no one was hurt (insurance job or the like – it was not terror or it would have been all over the news that day). A premonition of what was to come?
