On the eve of a planned meeting with former President Jimmy Carter, the isolated Hamas terrorist organization has expressed “hope” Sen. Barack Obama will win the presidential elections and “change” America’s foreign policy. “We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an exclusive interview with WND and with the John Batchelor Show on WABC Radio in New York.

Ask many American Jews what they think about Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former national security advisor who served under President Carter, and you’ll receive a multitude of comments of which the vast majority aren’t particularly favourable. These comments can perhaps best be summed up in one sentence. “He’s no friend of Israel.”
Brzezinski is one in a list of advisors that have recently joined the Obama campaign. David Bonior is another member of Obama’s team. As a Congressman, Bonior was known for his strong opposition to pro-Israel policies, being called by some “the biggest supporter of the anti-Israel Arab lobby in Congress.” (Jonathan Tobin, Jewish World Review,7/12/99).
General Tony McPeak is also part of Obama’s team, and Robert Malley, who according to Daniel Pipes, is a sympathizer of the PLO, recently had to resign ‘after it was emerged that he was talking to Hamas.’ Malley is the Director of the Middle East/North Africa Program at the International Crisis Group (ICG). Brzezinski, sits as a member on ICGs Board.

obama’s advisers are all anti-israel.

Every American president is going to be pro-Israel, its part of reason we are chided throughout the rest of the world. Our leaders answer to a strong Jewish-American contigent and people need to relax.

Sheep are people that go along with Bush McCain strategy to “stay the course” without consideration to how events develop. The whole reason Obama became a strong member of Democrats was his ability to talk about mistakes of this war. This why you can expect an Obama victory.

I don’t understand how more Jews are not scared of a militaristic America, with intolerable Christian leaders like Palin.

If everyone on the thread supports McCain and Palin, they are calling for more Bush years. They can expect a less influential and more militaristic America and Israeli problems to get worse.

An Obama Administration can bring more stability to the region. Considering the world over has more support for Obama than a Republican should strike an obvious chord with everyone on this thread. We can negotiate rather than make pre-emptive strikes that make things worse for everyone. We can limit the influence of the Iran with lower oil prices in peacetime. The fact Obama has a unique name should not frigthen you about what he stands for. Any name calling is a blatent and ignorant step away from the issues.

Palin is the most under-qualified candidate in the race, bottom line. She has a fundamental and borderline evangelical world view.

Palin could not be worse for America and Israel. her and evangelicals support for Israel is based on a coming apocalypse, not because they really want to make peace in the region work for everyone. Palin represents everything wrong in Republican party leadership on a fundamental and scary Christian political level that would destablize the region even more if elected with McCain.
