bacci40, Obama is the most inexperienced and socialist candidate for president EVER. In his ONE senate term, Obama has not had time to write a single law, but has written THREE books about HIMSELF. When he was elected senator, he was asked if he would consider running for president. He said NO, because then he’d “have to essentially start now”.

Obama has also said that he doesn’t regret his slip to Joe the Plumber that he intends to “spread the wealth around”. This means he wants to take your hard-earned parnassa and give it to some lazy drug addict on streets. I don’t want this to happen - do you?!

And then there’s the most important issue of Obama negotiating with Ahmadinejad, who intends to “wipe Israel off the map” and is the main supporter of terrorism. Or do you support Ahmadinejad?!

Voting for Obama is a risk that we as Americans and as Jews simply cannot take.

There is certainly no need for people to criticize other people's feelings and/or fears, whether you deem them to be valid or not. That certainly was not the point of the article or statistics provided. The main point is that on Tuesday night we will have the definitive answer. There will be no more need to speculate. On a personal note, I do agree with the position that polls are not often accurate. It depends who was polled and where

Halevei, the polls are wrong. On Monday I heard a woman on the radio relating a story about when she got a call for a poll, and responded "McCain", the person calling asked her to hold, and then never got back on the line. Which is to say, the polls are a part of the same media frenzy. However, ultimately it's still electoral college votes, and that's where McCain has a rough battle ahead.

Although I truly dislike Obama, I do hope the election won't be won or lost because of race. But it could be.

Polls reflect an inherent bias towards whomever the person answering the poll believes the person taking the poll favors. They tend to give the "right" answer. Since the media in the US, as of late, have decided that Obama will win by a landslide, people answering polls go along with the media. However in the privacy of an election booth, they vote for whomever they favor. This is in addition to the errors introduced by using the internet and various telemarketing techniques in polling.

In Eretz Yisrael, where the major media also have a strong left wing bias, the polls are also to the left (note how Livni won a landslide in the polls, and by a narrow margin in the actual voting for Kadima leadership).
