Bloomberg is an international leader because his influence reaches across the globe. His political position as mayor of NYC, the most important city in the strongest country in the world, gives him an international audience. Additionally, his business accomplishments have made him one of the most recognizable and distinguished names in the business world. So although he is not a president, prime minister, or king, he is still considered a world leader.
