casualobserver, the day-to-day operations of the FBI are run by career staff, who have their own agenda, not necessarily a good one, but not directly controlled by the political leadership. If Obama had tried to interfere with this raid, that fact would have been leaked immediately, which is why he’d never be so foolish as to do so.
