In 1983 I had Rabbi Gross as a third grade rebbe. I will never forget the day that I asked him a question in regards to Miseches Sukkah. I vividly recall, the way he became so excited over my question. He told me “your question is so amazing, even your father who is learning in kollel, won’t ask such a question. His excitement made me feel like a million dollars!

It’s amazing how one rebbe, can have such a profound impact on one student.

It’s a shame that we wait till someone passes away, before we tell them how much they mean to us.
