Special Lecture for Accounting Professionals to Precede Thursday Night Plenary Session at Agudath Israel National Convention


agudah10.jpgAn ethics lecture for accountants will be presented prior to the Thursday night plenary session at Agudath Israel of America’s upcoming 87th national convention, taking place this weekend at the Hilton East Brunswick, 3 Tower Center Boulevard, East Brunswick, New Jersey.

The lecture, entitled “Current Ethics Issues for New York CPAs,” will be delivered by Moshe S. Levitin, CPA, Partner, ParenteBeard LLC, and will take place from 7:00 to 7:30 P.M.  Topics that will be covered include: the impact of the new accountancy reform law and conflicts of issues among others.

Two ethics CPE credits (provided by Ace Seminars) will be available for New York CPAs who attend the lecture and the first plenary session that will follow at 8:00 P.M., whose theme will be: “Yisroel Asher Becho Espo’or: Promoting K’vod Shomayim in Our Business and Interpersonal Dealings.”

Rabbi Yaakov Perlow, the Novominsker Rebbe and Rosh Agudas Yisroel; and Rabbi Matisyahu Salomon, Mashgiach, Bais Medrash Govoha, will be the featured speakers at the Thursday night plenary session. The program will also feature video excerpts from classic drashos of Rav Shimon Schwab and Rav Avrohom Pam zecher tzadikim l’vrocha, whose lives epitomized the ideal of ribuy k’vod Shomayim.

“This promises to be a very important evening,” says Rabbi Zwiebel. These sessions, as all convention sessions, (including the receipt of CPE credit) are free of charge.

  1. If you’ll listen closely, you will see that it’s more of “Don’t you dare get caught”, than “Don’t do it”.

    Further more by emphasizing “Areivim, Only for Klal Yisroel” excluding all other people, our Bocurum and chidren take this logic to its extreme conclusion. They start utilizing derogatory words and phrases, against the Umos Ho’Olom.

    HKB”H hears everything and He certainly does not derive any Nachas from such behavior.

    We should do Tshuva V’Hashem Yerachem, and all these dark clouds we currently see on the horizon all over the world, should change over to Rachmim.
