Christie On The Radio? He Says He’ll Consider His Options

1New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he’ll consider his options after he leaves office and hasn’t declared himself a candidate to work at a sports radio station in New York.

The Republican spoke by telephone on WFAN’s “Boomer and Carton” program Thursday, one day after The Record newspaper reported the station’s program director said he would consider Christie among “plenty of candidates” to replace afternoon host Mike Francesca. Francesca is leaving the station at the end of the year.

Christie’s second term ends in January 2018 and he cannot seek re-election.

Christie says he hasn’t accepted a White House job and addressed the radio gig by saying: “To become an official candidate, don’t you have to declare yourself one?”

The governor likened himself to a baseball free agent and says he’ll consider “all different kinds of options.”

  1. He would be great for doing traffic reports on the GW Bridge and alerts when the Crispy Crème puts out a new tray of donuts…otherwise, not sure anyone would really care what this Trump Groupie would have to say about anything other than his plans to deal with his obesity.

  2. I would have figured him for one of those cooking shows on Food TV. In fact, he could do all those shows, as the guy who eats the food.

I apologize for the cheap fat joke. Christie has, overall, been bad for New Jersey, but not because he’s fat.
