Rabbi Dovid Schustal, Rosh Yeshiva of Bais Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey, visited the Los Angeles, Pico Robertson area this Shabbos. He was scheduled to speak at Rabbi Revah’s Shul Adas Torah on Friday night and other locations as well.
Other news in the Pico robertson area of Los Angeles: The succesful Lakewood Kollel based in Labrea is starting another branch of the Kollel in the Pico Robertson area to be Mechazik the Olam in the growing Yeshivish community of Pico Robertson.

Rav Shuster did not spend shabbos in Pico, but he spoke in Pico Robertson Friday night and walked over to Labrea afterward.
The LA kollel has long ignored the pico/robertson and valley area, and have done nothing to assist yiddishkeit in that area. Only after a stable community has been established in the area, are they now realizing they are being left behind and jumping in. There is already a kollel at YULA, and a Sefardi kollel in the area.
