A shootout erupted between police officers and a suspected ‘hit-man’ earlier Sunday morning. Police, acting on intelligence reports attempted to apprehend a group of men who apparently were en route to carry out a assassination. A gunfight erupted leaving the hit-man dead and a police officer in critical condition. Two men have been arrested in connection with this incident.
