Update on Terror Victim Tal Yehoshua Koren

According to an Israel Radio report from Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012, New Delhi terror attack victim Tal [bat Tzfira] Yehoshua Koren is in stable condition following emergency surgery.

Koren, 41, is the wife of the Defense Ministry attaché to India and according to family members, she was “saved by a miracle” as her vehicle was blown up in the attack. Doctors removed “most of the shrapnel’ from her body during the surgery and efforts now focus on moving her from India back home, to Israel.

According to surgeon Dr. Aaron Bahnot, who performed the surgery on Mrs. Koren, some of the shrapnel injured her liver, lungs and spinal column. He added the remaining shrapnel will be removed at some time in the future.
