Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan visited Kiryat Arba and Hebron on Tuesday, 23 Adar.

The minister arrived with his entourage in Kiryat Arba during the morning hours and was briefed by community leaders. He has words of praise for the “City without violence” project and the efforts of local law enforcement, which plays a major role in the success of the project.

Malachi Levinger spoke to Erdan about the daily traffic delays at Gush Etzion Junction, to which Erdan promised his office will address immediately in the hope of resolving the situation, at least partially.

The minister also visited Hebron, where he told area leaders that the Beit Rachel and Beit Leah buildings purchased by the Jewish community should have tenants as soon as possible, without delay.

At the Machpelah he was joined by border police and he expressed the pride he feels whenever he visits the holy city and praised border police for the job they do in protecting the holy site. “The Machpelah is the burial site of our forefathers, the strongest and eternal testimony to our rights, and today, tens of thousands of Jews visit annually and their security is ensured in the merit of police personnel who do a splendid job. Hebron forever!”

  1. I have a question for Minister Of Public Security Erdan. If women are equal to men in combat why do you not have any women as a body guard?
