4 Arrested in Modi’in Illit Break-Ins

Due to a wave of break-ins in Modi’in Illit a task force was formed in the Binyamin Region police district under the command of Inspector Moshe Hadad. His investigation led to the arrest of a resident of neighboring Hashmonaim, a 53-year-old male who is suspected of dealing in drugs and stolen goods. Police found hashish in his possession along with tens of thousands of NIS in stolen goods, including Judaica items.

His arrest led to the arrest of three other suspects, ages 18-23, residents of Modi’in Illit who were found hiding in Ashdod. A search of their home led to the recovery of cameras, computers and many other items, including a handgun stolen in one of the break-ins.

Some of the stolen property has already been identified. Chadrei Chareidim reports additional arrests are expected.
