VIDEO/PHOTOS: Public Security Minister Erdan Briefed On Security Arrangements At Kosel

Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan arrived at the Kosel on Monday morning 26 Iyar hours before President Donald Trump was scheduled to touch down in Ben-Gurion Airport. Erdan was met by Jerusalem Police Chief Yoram Halevy and together, they walked though areas of the Old City as Erdan was briefed on finalized security arrangements.

Erdan told the media that the department stands ready for the high-level visit, President Trump’s first since being elected to office. He feels there is special significance to the visit taking place during the same week that Israel mark’s 50 years since the liberation of the Kosel and Old City.

Later in the day, Erdan will be arriving at the Israel Police command center which has been established in Binyanei Ha’uma.
