Many of us can relate – The later hours of the fast, you’re exhausted, the summer sun is relentless. Perhaps you’ve said kinnos, heard shiurim, but as you grow weaker and your mind loses its sharpness many turn to Tisha B’Av-related videos for inspiration. Your energy is sapped and going to a venue outside of home is just plain uncomfortable and difficult.

However, where to begin? Surely there is what to see, but better not to search, and potentially become distracted by dvarim batelim. If only you knew you could find everything you needed for a meaningful and thought-provoking fast on one site that you know and trust.

Well, this year you will.

The Yeshiva World is teaming up with Project Inspire and others to bring you a variety of videos that will help you immerse yourself in the history of the suffering of Klal Yisroel and the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash. Just one click and you’re here, all the materials you need to connect to this deeply meaningful day.

Also there is no need to pack into sweaty gyms or sit in uncomfortable seating or to even leave the confines of your home, all thats needed is to visit TheYeshivaWorld.com and begin watching presentations from various worldwide Torah institutions. Project Inspire, Project Witness, Brooklyn Jewish Xperience, Ohr Naava and the Tishah B’av Flatbush program will each feature videos this upcoming Tisha B’av on YWN.
Here are the recaps of the upcoming presentations:

This year, Project Inspire is debuting an all new film featuring three legendary women of our generation: Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, Mrs. Henny Machlis, and Mrs. Pearl Benish — three giants who looked beyond themselves by reaching out to less religious women and affecting those around them. The film also includes the dramatic story of Liana, a woman who has started returning to Yiddishkeit through Project Inspire.

Continue their legacy by watching this year’s inspirational Tisha B’Av film and the women who kindled the flames in thousands of souls will ignite yours as well.

PROJECT WITNESS

This film will feature the gripping saga of Jewish children concealed during the Holocaust.

It takes the audience on a fascinating, harrowing, and emotional journey through the fateful years of the war when tens of thousands of children took on new, unfamiliar identities in hope of surviving the German onslaught. It brings survivors back to their childhood homes in Poland for first-hand interviews and dramatic reunions with their “adopted” families. This a must-see for anyone who cares about our rich heritage.

TORAH CONNECTIONS

For over thirty-five years, the Flatbush, Kensington and neighboring communities have come together to mourn the churban Beis Hamikdash in a uniquely dignified way in what is known as the “Tisha B’Av Program.” Participants in this gathering include a diverse group of individuals from a wide spectrum of the community. The program begins on the eve of Tisha B’Av with Ma’ariv at 8:00 p.m., followed by Eicha and Kinnos. Afterward, divrei chizuk and inspiration are presented. The program resumes in the morning with Shacharis at 8:00 a.m., followed by the recitation of selected kinnos accompanied by commentary and elucidation. After chatzos, the program continues with eight presentations reflecting upon the major themes of the day. Mincha and Ma’ariv are also part of the program. The presenters include distinguished and notable Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivos.

The Tisha B’Av Program will be held at the Ocean Parkway Jewish Center, 550 Ocean Parkway, between 18th Avenue and Ditmas Avenue. We urge all who can join us at this location to do so to experience the program to its fullest extent. For those who are unable to attend in person, the program can be viewed online, LIVE, here at YeshivaWorld. Please join us either way! In the past, many have reported that they have derived inspiration and meaning from the program that remains with them throughout the year and beyond. Title: It’s Tisha B’Av: Do You Feel Connected?

Summary: We sit on the floor. We try so hard to get into the feeling of mourning, to make ourselves feel something – to grieve for the loss of the Beis Hamikdash, to weep for the removal of Hashem’s presence from our midst. It’s not easy to connect. That’s where we come in.

Now’s the moment to watch The Power of Rachel’s Tears, Aleph Beta’s most popular Tisha B’Av video of all time.

Rabbi Fohrman’s life-changing insights about empathy and forgiveness will move you to tears. You owe it to yourself – and your loved ones – to see. Click here to watch now.
