Six ‘Schnorrers’ Arrested At The Kosel After They Stole Many Wallets, Bags And Personal Items

Six thieves disguised as schnorrers were arrested by police at the Kosel on Wednesday morning 15 Elul. They walked around during Slichos and stole wallets, bags and personal items from mispallalim.

Mispallalim at the location noted the remarkable resourcefulness of the Kosel police, following their actions via the sophisticated security cameras that were installed in the area and resulted in the capture of the six during the offense.

The theft in public places such as the Kosel is quite common, but the organization of six thieves at the same time is certainly a strange and unusual event for the Kosel, which has seen strange things in particular.

  1. “disguised as schnorrers”

Please don’t use this term, it’s not a nice way to refer to aniyim and shluchei mitzvah.

Well done police for catching these fakes.
