Not Pirkai Avot - its a mishna and braita in Kedushin. You are quoting the opinion of R' Yehuda. The Tana Kamma simply says that one is obligated to teach a profession (nothing about teaching him to rob if didn't do so). The gemmara says the point of contention between the two opinions is if teaching him iska (business) is sufficient. (The tanna kamma holds yes and R'Yeheda holds no). All this is in the first perek of Kedushin. In the forth perek R' Noharai states that he set aside all the professions in the world and taught his son only Torah.

my experience is that many of the ultra ultra groups are thugs. the adel people don't get involved in such goings on. a lot of the protests are just to extract money. it is a shame that these super religious people are thugs, but doesn't it say in pirkei avot that who ever does not teach his son a profession (job skill) teaches him to rob??

if you needed proof, here it is.
