Hurricane Sandy: NYS Courts Announce Closures For Monday

(Sunday, October 28th, 2012)

With the impending impact of Hurricane Sandy, New York State court officials announced the closures of several courts across the area.

New York State courts will be closed Monday in the five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk Counties and for the Ninth Districts courts covering Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties.

The only exceptions to the closures are for arraignments and emergency applications, according to the courts system.
