Attack on Hussan Bypass Road Involved Rocks, Not Gunfire


There was a great deal of confusion on Tuesday night, the eve of 7 Kislev 5773, regarding what appeared to be a shooting attack.

Even after the arrival of EMS personnel on the scene of the Hussan Bypass Road near the Gush Etzion community of Betar Illit, it remained unclear if the 60-year-old victim was hit by bullets or rocks.

Security officials report today that there is no longer any doubt, and the victim, seated in the passenger seat aside the driver, was struck in her face by a large rock and as a result sustained a serious head injury.

The victim was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital she is reported in serious condition on Wednesday morning.

  1. It should involve bullets-by motorist in self defense. The govt should declare a state of emerncy and allow motorist or witnesses to shoot rock throwers
