JNF Builds a Fortified Playground for Sderot’s Children

Sderot has become a symbol of living under a constant threat of rockets launched from Gaza. Due to the proximity of just a few kilometers from the border, the children of Sderot must always be within a few seconds of a bomb shelter, no more than 15 seconds from safety. An afternoon at the park may turn into a potentially dangerous activity, forcing children to spend most of their time indoors.

Aimed at alleviating this hardship, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) has built a 21,000 square foot secure indoor playground, providing families a place that is as close as possible to an open playground.
