Two NYPD Officers Shot In Boro Park Train Station; Gunman Shot Dead [7:45PM EST]


Two NYPD Officers were shot in the train station on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 62nd Street, law enforcement sources confirm to YWN.

Both officers were taken to Lutheran Trauma Center in unknown condition. One was shot in the back, and one was shot in he leg.

The gunman has reportedly been shot dead on the scene.

The incident comes just one hour after an off-duty officer was shot in the Bronx.

UPDATE 9:40PM EST:

A police officer was shot and a second was grazed by a bullet on the subway Thursday evening, law enforcement sources say.

An on-duty officer assigned to the transit division was shot in the lower back by a suspect while on the platform of the Fort Hamilton Parkway stop in Dyker Heights served by the N line, according to law enforcement officials. A second officer was grazed in the leg during the shooting. Both cops were in plain clothes.

According to sources, the officers had stopped the suspect on a train and exited with him at the Fort Hamilton Parkway stop after he was caught walking between subway cars.

At some point, the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire on the officers, the sources said. The officer hit in the lower back was able to return fire, killing the suspect.
