As the chassidic community marked the 200th yahrzeit of the Bal HaTanya ZY”A on 24 Teves, the Sefer was just released in Arabic in a ceremony held this week in Haifa, in the Netzach Yisrael Shul in the city’s German Colony.

City officials were on hand for the event along with the Chabad shluchim to the city including, Rav Leibel Schildkraut and Rav Boaz Kali. Also present was Haifa Mayor Yonah Yahav and other local officials.

The shluchim explained how the Rebbe instructed chassidim to print the Tanya in other languages and this was part of the mission to make it available to all seeking to learn from the Sefer.
