PM Netanyahu: I Will Not Raise Taxes

There is not a word discussing the Likud/Beitenu plan to eliminate the national deficit on the joint campaign website, but Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday 9 Shevat 5773 promised not to raise taxes.

The prime minister stated that “It is contrary to my DNA,” promising that if he is elected for another term, he will not increase taxes despite reports to the contrary.

Voters are reminded that Mr. Netanyahu made the same promises prior to the last elections in 2009 and he did raise taxes nonetheless.

Parties competing against the Likud/Beitenu list question Likud officials as they seek to understand the incumbent party’s economic plan for the next four years, which for now appears to be a secret with the exception of a few in the inner circle privy to the information.
