Livni: The Deal is Sealed and Non Negotiable

bibnThe Movement leader Tzipi Livni, whose party was the first and at present the only to join the coalition has announced the deal signed with Likud/Beitenu is non-negotiable and she will not permit reopening it to amend it to changing coalition realities.

The agreement signed by the parties assures Livni of becoming minister of justice as well as playing a major role in negotiations between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority). In addition, The Movement is to receive an additional cabinet post.

After the deal was signed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agreed to a cabinet that will not exceed 20 ministers, leading to Likud/Beitenu seeking to take back the second ministerial post form Livni’s party. Livni announced this would not be the case as the deal was signed and it will not be changed retroactively.
