“I am very happy to announce in conjunction with Assemblyman Goldfeder and JCCRP that preparations are underway for Passover. I also would like to thank the Department of Sanitation for really stepping up in order to help everyone celebrate Passover safely. I hope that everyone has a very safe and enjoyable Passover.” Said Councilman Donovan Richards

NYC Department of Sanitation will conduct additional garbage collection in anticipation of Passover. On Monday March, 25th, Erev Pesach, in addition to the extra collection there will also be additional stationary Sanitation trucks, which will be located at the Hicksville Road triangle in the Far Rockaway, and at 2716 Healy Ave in Bayswater.

Additionally, the Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula encourages the area residents to exercise caution during their preparations for the upcoming holiday. Due to the safety concerns, the JCCRP has arraigned a centralized location for a community wide chometz burning, under the supervision of FDNY. Chometz may be brought from 9:00AM to 12:00PM to the beach located at the end of Beach 9th Street in Far Rockaway.

  1. ROTFL. The picture is a fire in Boro Park. 14 ave and 47 street to be exact. In front of Sarah Schnier and Munkatch, not Far Rockaway. WOW !!!!!!

  2. I thought the Rockaway Citizens Safety Patrol was setting up the fire. I feel so much better knowing that there is a patrol in Far Rockaway, and they will be on hand supervising the fire.

I will not waste my time with this but if the article is about Far Rockaway than why is there a picture of Boro Park ?!?!?!?!?!?
