Mr Zionflag, as usual you missed the whole point of MK Rabbi Maklev. His whole point is that this ridiculous government doesn't care about anyone or anything, just hit and hurt one segment of the population (the chareidim) and if it hurts others too or inconveniences another part of the population, too bad!! That is what is so pathetic about this joke of a government.
Your comment that the Knesset has tried for years to change this law, shows your inability to understand the simple process called democratic government. The Knesset has not tried for years to change this law, certain MKs looking for a headline have attempted to change the law but were always strongly defeated because mainstream parties (like Likud, Labor etc.) understand the government is NOT forcing the will of the majority onto the minority but rather finding the common ground and making a פשרה. The previous system was such a agreement that took all sides into the equation and made a way that could be acceptable to all parties even if not perfect for everybody. This new entity, Lapid-Bennet, has caused anything which might assist one chareidi to be taboo and must be stopped. How sad and how pathetically childish!

Perhaps even worse is some american commentator agreeing with these שונאי ישראל!!

The point of the bill is to prove the the frummers don't have a say, in the long term there aren't any advanatges

Such is politics, u win, u lose, it doesn't matter, main thing is to insure the charadim will somehow lose out

As a shomer shabbos person I can only say I am very happy with the change and would love for us to just stay at GMT+3 all year round, who needs shabbos to start at 16:00 you can't go anywhere far in the winter.

Though I do understand that it may be difficult for some workers I really don't see why it should be impossible to accommodate them... in the winter start working a half hour hour later and finish later, problem solved.

To the honorable MK Maklev, for years the Knesset has wanted to change the DSL law due to economic reasons, daylight issues, etc. It should have been changed but implemented a year later to ease into the work and calendar schedules.
