Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita has been transported to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital today, Sunday, 22 Tammuz, where he will be undergoing back surgery.

The rav was recently released from the hospital after doctors failed to find the cause of his excruciating back pain. Family members on Sunday report the rav’s pain has become unbearable and they were compelled to have him hospitalized again. It appears he will be undergoing back surgery later today.
