Avreich Wounded in Stabbing Attack at Damascus Gate [UPDATED 22:03]


mdan21:39 IL: An avreich appears to be in moderate condition following a stabbing attack at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate. Magen David Adom paramedics transported the victim to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

It appears the attacker was not apprehended. All signs point to a terror attack.

UPDATE 21:42: The victim is reportedly a 30-year-old man. He was attacked by two assailants. Police believe this was a terrorist attack. The victim apparently was returning from the Kosel after Tisha B’Av and was attacked on Sultan Suleiman Street. His condition is now described as moderate-to-serious with abdominal and chest wounds.

UPDATE 22:03: MDA paramedic Aaron Oppenheimer reports the victim had six stab wounds, four to an extremity, one to the chest and one to the abdomen.

  1. It is time people pressure the police, mayor and Jerusalem politicians to stop the violence. It is unthinkable that people should be scared to go to the old city. But this is happening because of incidences like this
