Former Cabinet Minister to Head Dayan Boaron’s Election Effort

boaronFormer Likud cabinet minister Moshe Kahlon has announced his support for Dayan HaGaon HaRav Tzion Boaron, who is seeking to become the next Rishon L’Tzion, Israel’s Sephardi Chief Rabbi. Kahlon will also undertake running the rav’s campaign during the final days prior to the election, which is scheduled for Wednesday, 17 Menachem Av 5773.

Kahlon explained that he respects all the candidates running for this important post but our current situation calls for the election of Rav Boaron, who he feels is most suited for the post of Rishon L’Tzion. Kahlon explains the rav is one who will serve everyone, men and women alike, as well as chareidim, dati leumi and non-frum residents of the country.
