Howard Dean Screamed His Support For de Blasio YEAAAH!

The once-considered frontrunner for president, in 2004, Howard Dean headlined a Brooklyn fund-raiser for mayoral candidate Public Advocate Bill de Blasio last night, where he re-enacted the famous scream that ultimately helped sink his 2004 presidential campaign, Politicker reports.

“So we’re going to Brooklyn! And then we’re going to the Bronx! And then we’re going to go to Manhattan and all the way to Gracie Mansion, yeah!” Mr. Dean shouted as laughter rippled through the Crown Inn, a Prospect Heights bar. “Alright, take that Dave Chapelle,” he quipped.

Mr. Dean also predicted it would be Mr. Weiner and not early front-runner Council Speaker Christine Quinn in the likely runoff, in which he expressed hope that his candidate Bill de Blasio would win the ticket to face him off.

“He has 100 percent name recognition, he’s not going much higher than that. Everyone knows what the deal is, right?” Mr. Dean asked. “But there’s going to be a runoff and Anthony Weiner is going to be in that runoff. And he’s going to lose that runoff. So what this is is a race to see who gets in the runoff with Anthony, that’s how it’s going to work.”
