#6. Your a bit mistaken. Most Chilonim may not want to be Frum, but the attitude in general is/was, that whatever they keep religious wise, they want authentic.

Even going back to the original "Who is a Jew" issue. The reform took Chiloni Knesset members on a tour of their "Temples." When the Knesset members returned to Israel, they said, "We don't know what religion they are practicing, but its not Judaism."

In those days most Chilonim atleast knew the difference and defeated the law.

#1 You have a good point (for a change), but these chiloni communities in Israel adamantly refused anything religious all the years. If they baruch Hashem allow a mikva in their community, it's good news, they're b"H starting to get there.

The one thing you learn very quickly in Israel, is not to judge a book by its cover. Many Chiloni suprise you with their level of spirituality. They may not have the knowledge base, due to lack of a Torah education, but they care.

Don't confuse most of them with the lunatic left. You hear, B"H or Shabbat Shalom from them often. We should not denegrade or give up on them.
