The following is the wording of an online petition intended to keep the sanctions going against Iran:
URGENT CALL TO PRESIDENT OBAMA & THE US CONGRESS
We strongly oppose any deal with Iran that would ease sanctions before the nuclear threat has been completely eliminated. Any agreement with Iran that would allow it to maintain the ability to enrich uranium is extremely dangerous and unacceptable.
Iran’s actions, including installing over 1000 new centrifuges capable of rapidly creating weapons-grade uranium from low-grade uranium, and its refusal allow UN inspectors access to Iran’s nuclear sites, reflect a violent agenda that speaks louder than Rouhani’s words of “moderation”.
A recent report by the U.S. Institute for Science and International Security concluded that with its current stockpiles, Iran could produce enough uranium for a nuclear bomb within one month.
Crippling Iran’s economy has succeeded in weakening Iran’s negotiating position. Therefore, in order to force Iran to completely abandon its nuclear program, now is the ideal time to impose harsher economic sanctions.
The real decision-maker is not Rouhani but Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. He is the one who initiated former Iranian president Ahmadinejad’s call for the destruction of the State of Israel.
Israel’s very existence is at stake and there can be no bargaining over Israel’s existence. While dialogue is important, there can be no compromise with or appeasement of leaders who are committed to the destruction of Israel. The Jewish People cannot and will not be threatened with another Holocaust.
Now is not the time for easing sanctions on Iran. The international community must keep the pressure on Iran by imposing harsher sanctions and demanding that its nuclear program be completely dismantled. A nuclear Iran is a threat not only to Israel but to the entire free world.
Signing this petition will ensure that your name will be submitted to the White House and the US Congress and that you will get updates from United with Israel.
