Don’t Say Eretz Yisrael Belongs to the Jewish People

Sukkos_5774-088[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

The words of prominent Israel news analyst Amnon Abramovitz are simply testimony to the extreme left-wing Hellenist agenda that is the Israeli mainstream media. In Abramovitz’s latest prophetic words of wisdom he warns us “it is not intelligence to say ‘Eretz Yisrael belongs to Am Yisrael’”.

As is the norm in the State of Israel, when you can’t beat them, delegitimize them, and the video begins with clips of statements made by Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett, followed by the Abramovitz peshat, as he explains “Bayit Yehudi is a right-wing zealot extremist party disguised as moderate centrist party…” In Israel, if you are right-wing [or religious] and uncompromising in your hashkafa, you automatically become “extremist” and a “zealot” for this is in direct contradiction to the left-wing mantra that the media feels must prevail, the dream of a Zionist nation that is not burdened with the Yoke of Kiyum Mitzvos.

Abramovitz continues “Moti Yogev shouts mantras like ‘Eretz Yisrael belongs to Am Yisrael’ and this is not intelligent”.

He then speak of Bennett, who is “modern, a high-tech person” but nevertheless an extremist. Abramovitz draws a comparison to the right-wing Otzma Yisrael party headed by Prof. Aryeh Eldad, explaining “Bayit Yehudi is the same bus disguised as Bayit Yehudi, a moderate party.”

  1. According to Rashi (any chance he’s a fanatic left-winger, or perhaps a Satmarer), Eretz Yisrael belongs to Ha-Shem. Jews were given rights to the land so we can do Ha-Shem’s mitzvos. Since most Jews today reject Ha-Shem, and reject the entire idea of doing mitsvos, it can probably be said truthfully that Am Yisrael has no claim on the land and can expect to be “vomitted out” (NOT by words, I’m plagerizing from a fellow frum fanatic) . That of course leads the hareidim, but as it is unlikely we can dispose of either the zionists or the Arabs, it is of no political consequence.

  2. Eretz Yisroel belongs to the Jewish People, but H’Shem took it away from us due to our sins and sent us into Gulos, Only H’Shem will give back Etretz Yisroel to the Jewish people when Moshiach will come to redeem all Jewish people from the 4 corners of the world to take them all to Eretz Yisorel and H’Shem will build the 3rd Beis Hmikdosh.

  3. Guys… either classify this as an op-ed or present information and let your readers form their own opinion. Posting an article like this delegitimizes your site

  4. “Abramovitz continues “Moti Yogev shouts mantras like ‘Eretz Yisrael belongs to Am Yisrael’ and this is not intelligent”.”

Hashem exiled us from E”Y around 2 millennia ago. The galus has not yet ended, unfortunately, so the Nations still have the rulership over wherever Hashem gave them dominion.

In any event, whatever “rights” we Jews do have to E”Y do nothing to legitimize Zionism which is shmad and wishes it could replace Judaism.

  5. To 1: You are an ignoramous. Rashi’s point that you mis-quote is that since the eniter earth belongs to Hashem He has the right to give Eretz Yisrael to whomever He chooses, and He chose to give it to the Jews. Throughout Chumash we see this is an Eternal promise. Since this promise, Eretz Yisrael always belongs to the Jewish nation, and though we sinned and were exiled, it still belonged to us. Now we’re back in our homeland in the millions, Baruch Hashem, and while you are motzri shem ra on Hashem’s people, Chazal said the even the sinners of Israel are filled with mitzvos like a pomegranate is filled with seeds. Your comment is absolutely disgusting.

  6. shuali ” Right and Left refer to where deputies sat in the French National Assembly in the 18th century. Jews sat outside since we didn’t have the right to vote.

If you define “right” as conservative, Satmar is right, since it is for a continuation of tradition, whereas the “left” is usually identified with radical new ideas (such as zionism and the idea that Jews should be a goy like all the other goyim). So it appears that both the settlers and the hellenists agree on the core issue: that Jews are just another national rather than the special Am ha-HaShem, which being contrary to our tradition, is a very left wing position.

  7. ThinkingCap: The promise is eternal. And when the Jews do tseuvah, I trust Ha-Shem will give us Eretz Yisrael. And I trust that someday, when we are rid of the hilonim and the zionists (who are a type of hilonim) we will be able to live in Eretz Yisrael in peace. The goyim are at worst a nuisance, and I’m sure that when meshiach comes he’ll take of the goyim (and perhaps the weather – being both problems which we have no ability to deal with ourselves).

A good sign this is happening is when people such as Lapid and Bennett and thrown in prison for crimes against the Jewish people, or even better, they do tseuvah.

  8. Thinking cap: I fully support your words-and more should wee it. That said, I have, long ago, decided to ignore the insane comments of people like akuperma, hakatan and others. Let them continue their rants- we, thank G-d, are building on the ground and Etetz Yisroel continues to thrive!

  9. Akuperma: I must say that you have finally written something that is incorrect, unless I misunderstood. Jews are referred to as Yeshurin – straight. This means, explains the meforshim, the Jews are perfectly balanced; we have leanings towards chesed (rigbt) and towards din (left). The posuk says v’ameich kulam talking precisely for this reason. Tzedek implies perfect balance.

We have been at the forefront of every save the whale campaign (chesed/right), making those on the (Torah) left side (din) hate us. When we demand din, we are hated by all the do-gooder in the world. So our balance is the source of the hatred the world has for us.

  10. CORRECTED AND EXPANDED Akuperma: I must say that you have finally written something that is incorrect, unless I misunderstood your post.

Jews are referred to as Yeshurin – straight (from “yashar”). This means, explains the meforshim, the Jews are perfectly balanced; we have midos and mitvos which express chesed (“the right”) as well as those which express din (” the left”). Without the left, the right remains unfocused and uncontrolled. Without the left the world remains cruel. Together, and ideally, perfect balance is achieved. (Consider this moshul: someone want to give away one million dollars. He can throw one million singles off the roof of the Empire State Building or he can direct the funds to one or several needy people or organizations. Which way accomplishes the greater good? Obviously the latter. That is chesed with din. Right with left.

The posuk says v’ameich kulam tzadikim precisely for this reason. Tzedek implies perfect balance.

The Jewish people have been at the forefront of every “save the whale campaign” (chesed/right), making those on the (Torah’s view of) left side (din) hate us. When we demand din/morality/limits, we are hated by all the do-gooders in the world. So it is our balance is the source of the hatred the world has for us.

  11. Purpose of Am Yisroel & Eretz Yisroel: Create the ultimate Torah society for the world to model and bring about universal goodness & kvod shmayim. We failed Bayis Rishon & were forced out. Failed Bayis Sheni & were forced out. After 2000 years we’ve been given another chance. Hashem wants to return. 44% of Klal Yisroel are already back & actively fulfilling this national responsibility. Everyone needs to join!

The Chazon Ish stated over 60 years ago that although it is not yet the Geulah, (Moshiach, Beis Hamikdash, Hasra’as Shechina),STILL, the golus is OVER!! (Golus means Hashem not letting us return or establish a Jewish Gov’t in EY. A malchus of ovrei ritzono is still Jewish Malchus as in Pre-Churban )See the Chazon Ish Biography by Artscroll.

Also: quote from p. 47 of “Masterplan” by Rabbi Aryeh Carmell.
“In our time Jewish sovereignty has returned to our land – after an interval of 2000 years. This is a significant event in our history. We are called upon to take up the challenge. We have been given the opportunity of recreating the Torah environment in this land, of rebuilding the Torah state as envisaged so long ago, of again being a “light unto the nations”.”
