Hamas confirms that three senior commanders of the Izzadin el-Kassem military wing were killed by the IDF in an early morning bombing attack by the Israel Air Force. In his comments to the nation on Wednesday night the eve of 25 Menachem Av, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made it clear, that Hamas leaders were going to be targeted.
In the targeted strike on a four-story home in the Rafiach area of Gaza, Mohammed Abu-Shamala, Raed al-Atar and Mohammed Barhum were eliminated. According to reports from Gaza, a total of eight people were killed in the aerial strike.
Regarding the ongoing rumors surrounding Muhammad Deif, Channel 2 TV showed a copy of a death certificate for him issued in Gaza, yet Hamas officials continue to insist he was not killed when the IDF bombed his Gaza home, killing his wife and child. Hamas officials report the death certificate is a forgery.
As we go to print, a drone aircraft reportedly targeted yet another Gaza home is what appears to be another IAF targeted strike.
