Deri Stifles the Voice of Party Faction Members

derShas leader Aryeh Deri has informed faction members they may not give statements to the media in the name of the party. Deri also instructed his colleagues not to interview regarding essential events. Deri is concerned regarding statements released to the media by MKs during recent days. He feels some of the statements made in the name of the party are harmful to Shas. Deri explains that sometimes statements made by MKs contradict his statements and this leaves constituents confused as to the party line.

In all likelihood, what disturbs Deri are statements made by his rival, Eli Yishai. Yishai told the media Shas would not be a lifeline for the ailing coalition, which he added “was formed in sin”. Yishai told the press “the coalition is stumbling” and that the prime minister should not look in Shas’ direction for support.

  1. Bennett, Deri, Netanyahu all rule their party with an iron fist.Don’t know about Libermann…probably, as well.
    Some democracy. 🙁

And above each of them rules the Supreme “Court” …supreme.

It seems that Israel is long overdue for some reevaluation of the electoral process, as well as a redefining of the judicial branch…how to achieve this?
This issue is probably responsible for all the political ills…..spiritual ills…another problem..but maybe we can handle that on a personal, rather than political basis. B’H.

  2. #1 sifsei chachamim says: Deri is responsible for Oslo and his real views are leftist.

This is certainly not correct. Deri’s real concerns are to extract as much money from the government as he can. He was a party to Oslo only for money meaning he is willing to sell out to the highest bidder of any political stupidity as long as he and Shas get a large slice of gelt.

Sick, but this is the reality of Shas and Deri. Basically no principles expect ‘give me da money and I’ll sign anything.’
